Any interest in the return of models like the pingo?
I got a chance to handle a standard frn pingo a few months back, and I immediately fell in love with the design. Full length backspring with a defined halfstop. Slight forward choil like on the watu, to help keep the blade in place. Extremely ergonomic, especially with the well placed wire clip. Non...

Re: Dealer Exclusive Salts
Hopefully someone’ll order a batch of g10 native salts one of these days.
My blade-swapped native salt is as close to a perfect knife as I’ve ever gotten. But it was a lengthy and expensive experience, and that shouldn’t be necessary to handle such a high performance piece.

Re: Where's the 3V?
I still think people would be surprised by the actual wear characteristics of 3v if they got it in hand. It preforms very similar to lc200n in my experience, being extremely ductile (unlikely to chip and easy to strop back to full sharpness) while having retention on par with s30v. Think of it as an...

Re: Li'l Temperance 3: A (not so) li'l review
just my two cents but... I may be alone in this but I would absolutely love if the next model came in a trailing point like the original. I contemplate tracking down a trailing point 440v lil' temp almost daily :D I'm all for lc200n of course, but I think xhp seems liken a very good fit as well. I'd...

Watu watu watu watu. Everyone making fun of it’s looks and comp lock nub need to actually hold one and cut with one. Also (to a lesser extent) the waterway. Even with its moderate popularity it deserves 10 times that. It is without a doubt my favorite fixed blade. Plus the tusk mariner. I don’t even...

Re: Is the Caribbean for me?
What back lock trouble have you had? What sort of stuff are you having issues with gunking up your pivot? If I can get my hands on it I'll gunk this sucker up and see what happens. I have a long term test in mind but I need to get some material first and I'm not sure where to find it... I work in a...

Is the Caribbean for me?
Big ol edit: this is not a knife for food prep. I work in a kitchen and it’s a big no no to combine utility and food prep knives. I’ve got kitchen knives for food prep, this is strictly kitchen utility. Boxes, bags, and the occasional stubborn pickle jar cap. I've gone through a lot of work knives....

While all you newcomers are here, can you pop on over to my Dodo-fly thread and use your collective willpower to make this one happen?? :D I think a Dodo-fly is much more likely than a $600 Ti-Van-PM2. https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?t=84079 https://i.imgur.com/4rQu7Xt.jpg make it lc200n a...

What happened with the mantra?
When I first saw the mantra I thought it was a really interesting concept. Taking a beloved design (the delica) and fully decking it out. The original mantra fully embodied this, the delica's handle and blade profile upgraded with a ti framelock (with an insert), a full length edge, deep carry clip,...

Re: LC vs. LV
THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING. Lc200n is one of, if not the best, all around steel. And you can beat on it mercilessly without worry. Plus even if you did roll the edge you could literally strop the roll out. fantastic work mate! And thanks for sharing your experience with the steel, the more positiv...

Bumping to ask again, any love for the Kiwi 4?
I absolutely love thin little folders like this. Excellent for kitchen utility (small food packages etc), opening letters, and detail work. Any interest in a modern sprint of this?
