Re: Game over Canada? WW’s stops importing Spyderco.

It only says they will stop importing Spyderco folding knives. I still believe this is little more than a temporary hindrance. Laws and rulings come and go; just look at what's happening in the USA. At this point, anyone who sincerely believes locking folders will never again be legally imported int...

Re: Get a bug name tag with your screen name for Blade show

No way I can make it to Blade in the foreseeable future, but I'd still like to get one, sounds like a fun little memento :)

Re: Smaller chokwe

The Chokwe is a beautiful design and would be wonderful on the smaller side.

Small knives demand wire clips, IMO. Personally, I'm partial to either Compression or Back locks. I'd also like to see more CPM 154.

You can look at it this way: either he's lying and deliberately trying to rip you off, or he's honest and clearly showing poor judgement as a husband. I'd probably avoid doing business with either kind of guy :o

Re: BHQ with a hap40 Lum Tanto exclusive?

I get it, but I’m the customer and my problems with this batch are not unique. Owning up to a mistake while saying that your customers are *****ing about the fact that apparently it’s common knowledge that Hap40 blades warp (none of the others that I have are warped—hmmmmmm?) is not owning up to a ...

Re: BHQ with a hap40 Lum Tanto exclusive?

Sal, I’ve not been here on the forum as long as some, but I have been buying your knives since the 80s. I have been especially loyal to this brand over the last 5 years or so, letting my spending do most of the talking. Your connection to your customers has impressed me and kept me coming back. So ...

Re: BHQ with a hap40 Lum Tanto exclusive?

What is it with people and blade centering? I have a 204p Millie that's way off center, the G10 had pretty thick scratches out of the box, most likely a returned knife, but you know what? It opens and closes just fine, cuts just fines, and is just overall a **** fine knife. Looks to me like a lot of...

Re: Spyderco Paysan

I'm a bit surprised by the price, too. I thought I heard Eric say this one would be a little cheaper than the Nirvana since it doesn't sport the wrap-around handle engraving. While I can understand these are not cheap to manufacture, I think that once you cross the $500 threshold, saving a little mo...

Re: Maxamet Mule vs Maxamet flippers

For those of you who still fail to see a pattern here, let me give you a hint: GalvanizedHero neither owns a metal fabrication business nor works for a CPA firm. I don't know why so many of you keep falling for this BS, whether if it's naiveté, or sadomasochism, but you'd be better off just avoiding...

Re: CBSA going after flipper type opening

I was just in Canada and had a friend ship me a Military across the border. Didn't know this new law was in place, otherwise I'd have picked it up on my next visit to the USA, but it arrived no problems. The fact it didn't come in a box labeled "BladeHQ" or "KnifeCenter" probably...

Re: Shot Show surprises

This is pretty much the stuff I was hoping to see in the catalog, and then some! There's literally nothing in those vids that does not at the very least pique my interest. I obviously won't be buying everything, but it sure is nice to see Spyderco in such top form. Amazing job, both on the CQI and t...

Re: MAP policy change? 35%

It should be pretty obvious to everyone right now that Trips is a faker; he posts a thread about making so much money and leaving the forum/Spyderco for good, only to return a few weeks later and whine about the MAP increase. Don't bother.

Re: Is it just me... ?

Personally, lock type is something I really don't care much for. I've never had a lock fail on me, and I've never encountered a lock that made a knife unpleasant to use, except perhaps for some hard-to-reach liner locks. I do agree, however, that we seem to see a disproportionate amount of frame loc...

Re: Spyderco Parata

I kind of skimmed over this one on my first look at the catalog, but I have to say this is right down my alley. I really like to buy wild, out-there designs once in a while, and this looks about as original as they get. VG-10 is fine with me, price is good, and brand new lock... I hope to see it com...

Re: Official 2018 Catalog Discussion

A little bit confused with the choice of SS for the Kopa handle.... Me too! I'd love to have a Kopa but I imagined something a little fancier like the previous versions. Stainless just seems too vanilla. I'm thinking maybe Spyderco is still being a bit careful with Moki, doing simple older models i...

Re: Official 2018 Catalog Discussion

I'm a little bit underwhelmed to be honest, as I felt there was quite a bit of hype for this catalog, but there's still some interesting new stuff in there. Respect is absolute must buy. I just hope it's not released in very limited quantities. The Waterway also looks like a great fixed design. V-To...

Re: Anyone see this native 5 at blade hq.

It's starting to feel like every sprint and exclusive is in S90V anymore. S90V kills it for me every time. So many outstanding stainless steels that are getting ignored... Same here. I'm starting to think Spyderco stocked up too much of it :D I'd be all over that KC linerless G10 Native,...

Amen. My business deals with these issues daily and I think often people don't realize just how fierce it is out there and just how unfairly lopsided the scales are in favor of unethical entities. I haven't stepped foot in a Walmart in years and only ever have when I absolutely had to and I don't s...
