Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

I need to buy these one day: https://gmbobbytaboada.wixsite.com/home/products That book sure looks interesting. A bit expensive for me right now, and I have a bunch of books I acquired back during the first part of the pandemic that I still haven't gotten to yet. Jim I hear that if you have a sparr...

Re: Does anyone else like Pro-tech knives.

I like the large auto dagger, the Godfather. But I do not like the fact that your hand can slip onto the blade if you thrust into something hard. Haven't bought one yet.

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

Years ago I started writing a corny document about what it takes to survive if there are people set on harming you. The document is called, "Surviving A Purge." I started with rules for all major styles of combat sports and then set out to find out what was NOT allowed, and made that my mi...

'He Saw Demons and Knocked Heavyweights Out' - Ike Ibeabuchi, the Undefeated Puncher The Ike Ibeabuchi/David Tua fight was an underrated classic. Ibeabuchi could have potentially gone down as one of history's greatest heavyweights, but he hasn't, and for good reasons. https://youtu.be/d5B3EDh-G0s J...

Re: I grossly underestimated the Native Chief

I’ve seen some s90v sprint versions floating around if you’re interested I can try to find the sites. But I recommend the Rex 45 version. I don't have any cash on me right now, but I'd be interested in a brand new in box S90V Native Chief, maybe around the 3rd of next month. PM me the web sites and...

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

https://i.imgur.com/oQmHKNk.png Personally, I've never thought of myself as some bad@ss fighter. Martial arts was just a passion of mine; during a long period of time, it was my biggest passion. I've fought, in and out of competitive settings, but I've always felt that someone with a bad@ss reputat...

Re: Death that doesn't matter?

I was ripped off many times by employers. When I was ripped off for $35,000 by PPD in Silicon Valley in 2002 and then told by the FBI that I did not have a Rill of Rights and was to never post the fact that they ripped me off for $35,000, I decided that I would find a way to retire immediately and s...

Re: I grossly underestimated the Native Chief

I need to start saving my pennies in case another Spyderco Native Chief or two is dropped.

My EDC has been the S90V Native Chief from the day it arrived. Always thinking there could be another and another and another....and I'll collect what I can afford.

Re: Death that doesn't matter?

I try not to get too shook, but nobody will remember me beyond the people who are related to me, know me or have worked with me. What would be the point? I have no children. But did not bring children into the world at a time when I could not take care of them. Did not create a martial art or teach ...
