Re: Show your Gransfors Bruks Axes

I've heard nothing but good about Granfors Bruks tools. I have a small collection of axes and hatchets but I've yet to get a Granfors Bruks. From what I've heard there is only a couple of true USA made axes left on the market. But I've heard that all of the Swedish made axes are truly top quality. ...

Re: Really bad cut.

I lost the tip of my thumb about 19 years ago...clean cut just across the top of the bone....looked freaky, and was sensitive for quite some time...cold air thrashed.
Served my right for not paying attention

Re: UKPK S110v?

I think the UKPK S110V is worth it providing you have the means to sharpen it. Like Nate, I bought it more for the nice blue handle than the steel. Sounds kind of silly but it's true. If they offered the same handle color in BD1 or BDN1 I'd be perfectly happy with that. I have a set of shapton pros...

The s110v is a worthy upgrade over bd1. Less so over bd1n from what I have heard. Still trying to get one of those, but retailers are still saying the steel is bd1 and not listing the upgrade.
The bd1n she took was listed as bd1

UKPK S110v?

Well, my ukpk come and has been taken by the Mrs.
It is BD1N.
I would be annoyed if I wasn’t impressed by her actions.
Now I have a forum knife on order but unsure when my order will be processed let alone delivered.
So I need another ukpk and wonder if the S110v is worth the extra coin?

Re: Is this edge wear normal?

What have you been cutting with it at work? Cardboard, and zip ties, the small plastic shipping straps that hold boxes together, A few bags, A little paper and tape. Nothing serious. No frivolous play cutting has been done whatsoever. I would sharpen it out, probably the factory edge, pretty common...

Re: Change in UK Knife Buying

I believe that in modern societies, we do things backards . The opposite of war isn't peace, it's trade. In society, we use and have always used punishment to guide behavior when we should be using education. In my opinion. sal I don’t usually like digging up old threads but I liked this post. Hist...
