Re: Need help on a new slim EDC - no lockbacks

Blerv - I was think width as scale to scale, and scale to back of the blade (in closed position). Does that make sense? For example, the Manix is far wider than an endura due to the leaf shape blade

Height is not a concern.

The Mantra looks impressive! A little pricey for my budget, but I will take a good look at it. Thanks Sal

Re: Need help on a new slim EDC - no lockbacks

I know I am getting picky here, but was trying to see if there is a great knife that I did not know about. I am still eyeing the Sage 1, but was curious what you guys think are some good options. If a Delica came in any other lock option that would be an instant win for me. But, I will check out the...

Need help on a new slim EDC - no lockbacks

I need some opinions! I am looking for a small/mid sized EDC knife. Slimmer is better. Sub $100. But, I do not like lockbacks. I am fine with liners, compression, axis/ball bearing, etc. Any ideas? The best fit I can find is the sage 1, but I was hoping for something a little less wide/more pocket f...

Re: My first Benchmade...

I just got the basic Griptilian, and the Axis lock is sooooo smooth. Awesome knife. I do not mind the FRN or their version of it at all, so I am big fan of the knife. Mini grip was too small for my liking. There are a ton of Spydies I want, but the Grip is an awesome knife and will get a lot of use!

Re: Just Purchased Spyderco Persistence

I back pocket carry my persistence. Great little budget folder. I have to sharpen mine frequently, but for a $35 knife it feels great. Awesome lockup and the G10 is pretty decent. Besides the steel being subpar, the opening action is a little tight. After cleaning (which I lost 1 of the washers and ...

Re: Why doesn't Spyderco sell replacement parts?

I'm not blaming Spyderco for anything. I was stupid enough to try and clean my gummed up knife by disassembling it in the field and losing the stop pin. $25 my seem like a lot to fix a $50 knife, but I have only myself to blame for not being careful in the first place. On the other hand, $25 is not...
