It seems to me that I heard awhile back there was a "spyderedge" grinding wheel or machine that did this job...but I could be totally out-to-lunch on that! I too will be interested in what those in the know have to say.

Thanks for your comments fellows! I'm sure I will love it too. :) It's kinda' neat doing this...I know I'm going to get this knife, but I have put it away and because I handled it so briefly, the memory of it's operation, etc. is dimming. My arm has mostly healed too, so by the time Christmas rolls ...

Thank you very much for writing this! What a great description, and a real eye opener for me. From your picture it appears that you mean the frontmost bolt or screw when you refer to the "lock bolt".
