Re: Rex 45 Native G10

The LW is a smoking deal. Amazing price for a superb knife in an amazing steel. Seriously, I'm surprised both are still easily available but especially the LW. I love the G10 myself but for the price I would have thought the LW would be an insta-sellout, just goes to show not all sprints are equal ...

Re: REX45 Lil' Native Alert Thread

Is it just me or do the email stock notifications not actually work when you sign up with a vendor? I have gotten numerous sprints through email and text notifications, including the Cruwear Shaman when they were selling out in seconds. They are not 100% reliable certainly, and some companies seem ...

Re: Canis Love...will there be Sprint runs?

It will probably be a while before there are sprints even if it turns out to be popular, i.e. the Smock. If it's something you think you'd like in m390 I'd try it in s30v now knowing you probably have at least a year before you'd have to decide whether to upgrade.

Re: Closing a CBBL - alternatives

Hey Wartstein, I was assuming two-finger operation is necessary based on the description, if it's thumb-only operable it certainly makes it easier whatever way you choose :D Mine is easily operable with just my thumb thankfully, though as mentioned these CS DLC models seem to be stiff relative to mo...

Re: Closing a CBBL - alternatives

My guess is Wartstein doesn't let his blade drop onto a finger but rather holds it horizontal so it ends up pointing down a right angle from the handle and then closes it the rest of the way, could be wrong but if not I don't see a way to do it without fingers in the path. I think my right hand is r...

Re: S45VN Sprint Run

There does appear to be some variation from the texturing process, most seem to have at least some lighter grooved areas, a few have it across a whole scale or none at all but those both seem to be the minority. Was a little put off by it at first but a buddy applied a small amount of tuf glide to a...

Re: S45VN Sprint Run

USPS is incredibly overwhelmed by Covid-19. Not only a massive influx of packages, but also employee shortage. Some employees are refusing to work due to fear of contracting the virus, especially at the distribution centers. I don't blame them. I have three packages, including the CS Manix, that ha...

Don't think anybody is questioning its effectiveness, I would find it interesting if they ended up changing it though. Mine is a couple years old and the straight tip is 5/16" long if that helps.

Stupid REC website. I’m trying to use my phone and their subscribe to news letter was covering everything and I couldn’t close it. And how fast do you have to be... I couldn’t even get logged in before they were gone. I’m starting to like dealer exclusives better. I always figured Sprints would be ...

Second the Sliverax, though I happily thumb flick the heck out of my Kapara most days. Both excellent knives that are also fun.
