I've had two Southards and sold them both without really using them. I think it is a great design and the flipper is fine and I like 204P...but no lasting excitement... However, I really enjoy the GB's and they seem to have a "sparkling" edge, and a "presence" like I seldom see o...

I don't seem to have much interest in forum knives, unless it's a Para2. Then...watch out.
I love 'em like nothing else. I think it's the compression lock...maybe...or the slim lines...or the wonderful choice of blade-steels. Thanks, Sal and gang...

I have used mine very little, although it's a fine knife with good fit and finish. Very nice flipper; works very easily, securely. For the money, I think it's a great knife with good blade-steel. Spyderco should be proud.

There will be a notch cut out on the back of the blade near the pivot. Yes. My 'second' has a very small notch cut only on one side of the blade, right over the hole. Very small, as though they touched the blade to a wheel and nicked it slightly. But that's enough to tell. It's so slight, this is t...

I read that a fellow did manage to kill a cougar that had attacked his son. It was a fairly small blade length, maybe 3" Spyderco. The rangers found the cat later; it had died of blood loss. But the cat's attention was centered on his son, and he stabbed it in the side of the chest. Still, it w...

I figured the gold color was titanium nitride. Some of my handgun cartridge dies are made out of that. Lasts forever plus a decade.

Yessir. And side-play is NOT a necessary or expected part of titanium frame-locks.

Yeah, it's like this NIB blue Yojimbo that I just picked up...for $265, from a collector. I wonder what the heck it's good for, and WHY did I do that? I have no idea what I would use it for; I keep hoping someone will offer me something for it. I really feel stupid. No wonder it was discontinued. I ...

It's due around December and it is expensive. I've bought mine on the secondary market and so have paid a bit more than what they will go for in the new release. But I'm happy. That bright blue is really nice.

I don't really "like" the sharp/pointy Yojimbo2 profile, but then, self-defense knives are not my thing. That thing scares the heck out of me. I'm sure it's a great design for its intended purpose. However, I prefer the Para 2 for casual EDC/slicing and own a few of them in various blade-s...
