Re: Byrd Tern: First Impressions
Could a kind soul, if possible, take a picture of the Tern with Urban (UKPK as a bonus if you have this also. Ordered one a month and a half ago and still waiting (2 months is now a standard shipping time from US to Europe if you don't use DHL or similar fast shipping options, which in case of a che...

A divine specs knife, innovative lock, but looks like a kindergarden drawing.
Hope they make a more mature design soon.

Re: Practical methods for making Salt knives pointier
Belt sander’s the best option, as Vivi said. Dip the blade in water often to limit heat buildup. I’ve used 80 or 100 grit sandpaper too, but it obviously takes a while. If you use a compressible substrate like a mousepad or thin packing foam, you can radius the edges to make a crowned spine. I avoi...

Re: Whats the longest you've ever gone without using a particular knife?
12 years. Bought SS Police back then, when I saw it in a movie I was all pumped up about it. Soon enough I found it only had right hander clip (I'm a lefty), and it was HUGE. Carried it once to work, and was wondering when someone would call the police. It stood for 12 years in my closet, and gave i...

Re: Pm2s oos
This could be the result of a CQI change where the PM2 and some others are changing from S30V to S45VN. ? As standard? Yep the PM2 & Para 3 are listed as having S45VN in the 2021 catalog. And Sal confirmed it as a “steel CQI”. I'm so glad now the Para2 left hand was out of stock when I wanted t...

I've been on this forum for some time now, and I'm looking at the ideas and wishes you, ladies and gentleman, have (also a couple from my side as well, but I don't write much about it, explaining further in this post). All the ideas and wishes are scattered all around the forum, and sometimes Sal se...

Search engine - word too common
Hello, I've been trying to find a Delica thread so I don't open another without a reason, if there is one already opened, but when I put the word "delica" in the search box, the result says that the word is too common. I just can't search through pages and pages, and see no other option - ...

100% agreed! But this is the kind of off cenering that actually DOES have practical implications on functionality and or longetivity... But I mean the "obsession" (again, not meant offensive!) about the tip of an Endura that is s tad to the left or right, and people make this a major poin...

Re: Why are so many people concerned with perfect blade centering?
Comparison. I'm going to pay 100-200-300 dollars for a knife, and if there is a possibility of misalignments, and on another model/producer/factory isn't (especially if the price on the model with consistently better finish is lower, let alone much lower), I would be pretty frustrated. Of course ge...

Re: Liner Steel Question
It really is strange that the composition of the liners is always a secret, but at the same time the blade steel is analyzed to the last atom. I've been wondering of this previously, but could only see speculations, and never a straight anwer, like 304, 316, 420 or similar. This question also extend...
