Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

I put in a pre-order at KnifeWorks 10 minutes ago. Now they’ve taken that option off the page.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

My only experience with micarta scales is on an old Gerber folding pocket knife. The old white micarta is hard and smooth. This micarta looks much different. Looks gripper, but also porous.

Is that the case? Can I expect this micarta to be porous?

@bagsnatcher Hasn't really gotten started. I believe most of what was referenced above is the Factory Outlet stock. These just started shipping to dealers last Fri.
So the knife hasn’t started shipping yet, only the Factory Outlet stock?

I asked the same question a month or so ago and someone who appeared knowledgeable said late October or early November. They also mentioned that the release had been pushed back once already, FWIW.
Thanks. Just wondering if anyone knew why it’d been pushed back, or heard any new intel.

Re: On Short Deep Carry Clips

Registered just to weigh in on this. Love the forum, but I went through the same struggle with Lynch and mxg clips recently, and I felt compelled to share. I have both the Lynch and mxg clips and use them on my para 3s. The mxg short clip fits my hand on a para 3 perfectly. It's nice and short and ...

Re: On Short Deep Carry Clips

Does anyone own both MXG Gear and Casey Lynch short deep three hole carry clips on their knives? I really like the comfort of the short deep three hole clip from MXG Gear. Just wondering if the Lynch piece melts as easily into the palm. Thanks in advance I have multiples of both....including the la...

New guy here. I have both Lynch and MXG for a PM2 and Para 3. I bought the MXG first but after buying the Lynch that is what stayed on both knives.
Thanks so much for your valuable input!

Were both the Lynch and the MXG clips the three hole deep carry short clips?

Re: Let's Get Serious: G-10 Handles Are Just Hard To Beat For EDC uses

I find it extremely hard to understand why just a mere ounce or so of weight could be a hinderance to any healthy average sized man. I hope you are not assuming that women don't buy and use Spyderco knives? ;-) Anyway, it's not always the weight of the knife that's the issue, sometimes it's the wei...

Re: Different Tools, Different Steels, Different Angles Different Grits to get your Spydies Blade Factory Fresh

Is 30° inclusive the Sharpmaker angles that we should use to maintain the factory angle on our knives? In other words, is that the angle that I’m looking at when I pull a brand new sprint Para 2 or Manix 2 from its box? Asking for a friend. Don't be embarassed, you can ask for yourself and nobody w...

Re: Best PM2 For Ocean Work?

Thanks for recommending the Caribbean, fellas! I saw it when I was looking up LC200N Spyderco knives. To be perfectly honest, the aesthetics are a hurdle for me, with those crazy scales. A bottle of Rit dye is less than $10 and should be easy enough to change the color. In fact in another thread on...

Re: Best PM2 For Ocean Work?

Hi Sleepless, Welcome to our forum. You say that you don't like the "look" of the Caribbean? I thought this was for a friend? If he's spending much time around salt water, the Caribbean might serve his needs better? sal Thanks, I’m so glad to be here! I get more excited about giving gifts...

Re: Best PM2 For Ocean Work?

I suggest the Carribean too. A different knife, but have no fear: you can play with it just like with the PM2. A little larger and different blade shape (which I prefer), and - beside the different steel - smoother than the PM2 (an additional internal pin guiding the blade), and all around more rob...

Re: Best PM2 For Ocean Work?

The s110v pm2 does very well out on the water and is a rope cutting beast. But make sure they know how to sharpen a knife before you give them a knife in s110v. Makes a lot of sense Pelagic. After seeing the Rit dye jobs on the Caribbean, thinking maybe that’s the way to go. Also imagining that LC2...
