Mine is the only Spydie I've bought on the secondary market. It is dead center, super smooth, and came extremely sharp (if factory, the sharpest I've seen in a production knife). It does have a little bit of the up and down, but I had to look for it.

Yeah sorry, didn't know you were set on that Para, lol. Only one that I can't find in stock anywhere at the moment.

My local knife shop also runs the site clarkknives.com. You might want to give them a call. I got my black/black there last year.

David, those bikes are amazing!! Thx for the pics.

I have toyed with getting a nice older road bike, but for a while my wheels have been a turn-of-the-century Cannondale F700.

Wasn't saying they're still available, just that KW released the green 204p.

I'd say they're safe :)

Thanks guys. I had read a few a few of the articles on his site, but didn't get to that one and forgot it was there.

Executive summary: saves material, reduces weight, looks cool (contrast,) and still plenty strong.

I wonder what I could get for my CPM 154/S90V now that I've sharpened it 3 times and grinded down the spine to recreate the tip. The blue M390 is the only one on the list that I really want. But it is my understanding that more of these are being made some day. Patience... Resale on that one is pro...

Strong-Dog recently asked if any 3.5 sprints were in the works and Sal seemed open to the idea. Hopefully any future sprint run would still be a combo of the 3 & 3.5 like the super blue. A lot of ideas were floated for steel and handle color, but if black is your thing Rit dye could get you ther...

Curious to know why Phil Wilson uses spacers instead of full tang though.
I'd guess weight more than anything.

After picking up a South Fork, I can say that I will buy any/all future Phil Wilson collabs. I voted K390 on this poll, but if they did a sprint SF, I would like for it to be made out of thinner stock. Maybe 2.5mm with a more dramatic distal taper. Perhaps the Sprig will be a bit leaner though and f...

I'm still on the upswing I guess. I bought my first Spyderco last January and have averaged about one a month since. For me, the diversity of designs is just stunning. So many that I want to get to know, lol. I just scanned the 2014 catalog and there are close to 100 current production models, and t...

I haven't used my SB knives for food prep yet, but I do have a kitchen utility knife in white #2 (Tojiro Shirogami) that has seen a lot of use. I noticed a metallic taste at first, especially on more acidic fruits. I remember this with strawberries in particular. As a patina built up, things seemed ...

Food grade mineral oil. Buy a whole bottle at the drug store for a few bucks and you'll have enough lube for 5 lifetimes. +1 -I bought a bottle about 5 years ago and have barely dented it. I'm sure there are better lubricants available, but for cheap, readily available and food safe, this is hard t...

This knife isn't quite there yet but opening it right handed puts that extra bit of pressure it needs to touch. Any input is appreciated. Sounds like you just need to make it your dedicated left-hand carry knife for a few years :) The straightening idea is interesting though. I wonder if Spyderco W...

I only came up with Para2, Military, and Yo2. Is that it?

For me, the edge goes to g-10. I'm a big fan of g-10 with recessed liners. I also have a few in frn now and like it more than expected. I especially like the texture used on the UKPK.

IIRC the CF/s110v Native will be peel-ply CF, so grip should be similar to g10. I concur that there are a couple on the bay for around $150, which isn't terrible. I would personally wait for the CF though, except I already have the forum version :D Another thought, Knifeworks currently has the best ...
