Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

Thanks! Really wish the textured lock side was more common with Hinderer, all the XMs I had were smooth.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

My one and only Hinderer. I was so underwhelmed by the weak detent on it that I never considered getting a second one. The fact that they are crazy expensive when they reach my country also lessened my enthusiasm for them. hinderer_xm18_wharnie_01.jpg The Gen4 was hit or miss. Some really special, ...

Re: Sage 5 in REX 121 + burnt orange

Stoked about this one, but when do we get a Sage2 reboot in something... Maybe magnacut?

The Sage5 might be the best Sage by a few points, but the Sage1 and 2 are still the ones I reach for.

Re: What "others" are in the mail?

HA! I've been on the hunt the past few weeks for Hinderer XM-3, but also been looking at XM-3.5's as they seem to be a bit easier to find. I'm feeling pretty picky about what I want though (Non flipper, slicer style blade, bronze or black, preferably a black or stonewashed blade) I've found a few o...

Wish I had gotten a Shirogorov years ago.
Just so much fun to use and play around with.

I'm so relieved that Shiro knives do nothing for me lol
These aren't too bad. $600
I think you can hit that fairly easy with the right CRK?
Ha! Exactly.

Re: What "others" are in the mail?

You've got to get a CRK in hand, to really understand. It's a feel kind of thing. Nothing about these seem done wrong! I've bought and sold A LOT of knives during my time here, I've only sold 1 CRK and that was to a member here that was itching to try one for himself. I believe he still has it! The...

Re: Benchmade Knife Company

My first "nice knife" that wasn't a Buck or Case was a Benchmade 3550. My second was also a Benchmade, 330. Tried to love a few after that including the 710 and 940, but it wasn't until the Bugout that I felt like Benchmade was back in my life. Now the Narrows has really pushed the limit o...

Re: Sage 5 in REX 121 + burnt orange

Instant... and instantly dye the scales. Gig'Em Yeah. I will likely buy one to try the steel but I find burnt orange particularly awful as well. *Bumps Fists* It's funny how some (like me) love burnt orange and some almost "hate" it. Though I am afraid I could be in the minority here and ...

Re: Looking for thoughts on Caly 3.5 vs. GB2

GB2 is one of the most neutral knives Spyderco makes IMO, which leads to a pretty universal appeal for anyone that likes a knife that size. The Caly 3.5 is definitely "more Spyderco" unique, if that makes sense.

Ha, thank you! Just walking the dogs... Something about a CRK on ice makes for a great pic!

Really wish I had grabbed a L21 in black micarta when I had a chance.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

Instant classic https://i.imgur.com/42Mfofr.jpg The thumb stud second Drift was great but a little small for my hands with a large but unusable choil. This Drift L scales it up but is still incredibly thin and light with a seriously nice grind. If I had the option I was going to go with a belt satin...
