Seki-City Spydies

This is a curiosity question more than anything else, but I was wondering if the Spyderco knives with "Seki-City, Japan", marked blades are also assembled in Seki? For example, was my Spyderco Stretch assembled in Seki-City? Do they ever ship Seki blades back to Golden and do the assembly ...

For an EDC (every day carry) knife that is lightweight, low profile, and can do it all, I'd definitely recommend taking a close look at the the Native (C41BK). The biggest difference between the Native and the Native III is in the profile of the handle. Personally I like the Native better because th...

   Oh man! I immediately called the SFO and got the very last one at Spyderco! It didn't even have a box and was taken right out of the display case. Thanks for the heads up guys! Glad I made this post. It was a bit pricey as there was no dealer discount, but hey.. it was my Holy Gra...

Well, the Stretch has arrived, and I think I have a new favorite Spyderco! There were a lot of good things said about the knife, but I tried to keep an open mind until I had it in hand. Don't get me wrong - I love my Natives, but this this knife is in a class all of its own. I think it's true greatn...

It would be really cool in someone with tool and die-making experience would create FRN scale inserts with the same surface pattern as the Kraton. The grippiness of the material wouldn't be as good, but it would leave the look of the knife unchanged.

mhansen1, you won't regret it! Have fun with it and tell us about it! I should have the knife tomorrow so I'll let you know what my first impressions of it are. I've have a Pro-Grip (C13P) with the Kraton inserts for several years now and haven't had any problems with the materials. I use it as a h...

Doggonit, you guys have convinced me to give the :spyder: Stretch a try. I guess they won't be available too much longer anyway. :)

C41PBBK with no Boye dent?

Well, after much extensive searching, I managed to come up with a new black blade plain edge Native (C41PBBK) via eBay (but at a substantial premium). Tough knife to get ahold of and one I've always wanted to own. Mine, like all of the other's I've seen photos of, has the Boye dent on the lock. Howe...

C41PSBBK Question

Perhaps someone with a little more knowledge about the black-bladed Natives can tell me a little bit more about these varieties. Both are etched "Spyderco CPMS30V" on on side of the blade. However, one has the Sypderbug just forward of the round hole and it also appears that the appication...

Black Blades

I've really taken a liking to the black-finished blades - especially on the Native. I know there are a few of you out there who carry black-bladed Spydies for EDC and I was curious to hear how the black finish holds up. I know that it will scratch, but am thinking that it probably still looks good e...
