Doc,
I have enjoyed your posts here and like many will miss them if you are leaving. I hope you reconsider, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy your forum hiatus and life treats you well. Stay sharp and safe.

http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41786&highlight=sog I think Kristi would likely have moved that thread over here if she weren't at SHOT. Needless to say, several folks on here have made their opinion known. AFAIK, this one is designed to be about as close as possible to a copy w...

Just got bit by my tip-up Tenacious. I'm still trying to figure out what made the blade open to begin with. Probably putting my wallet in that pocket.

A find like a Worker or a 20 year old Delica would make my day for sure. I found a G1 Delica (no steel marking, just seki, molded clip - I understand this makes it of the earliest variety) sitting in a loose box for 6 bucks at a gun show. It was dirty but has almost no wear, so it's more or less li...

Agree that Steve Irwin's passing was a shame, but at the same time, he was doing what he loved, and he really followed his passions and as such, while it doesn't make it any less unfortunate that he died young, but his passion and character are what have made a mark on this world that many of us wil...

Being that it is only one Spyderco, not only one knife, I'm going to go with my Spyderhawk H1 Salt SE. I've kept a hawkbill on me for 8 years now and Spyderco makes them right!

I'd have to say that this would be legal, though I'd absolutely be happier buying a Byrd SS PE Cara Cara at half the price or less (I've already bought one, in fact, and it's a fine implement). the blade-weakening slot cut looks like either like an attempt to look like without violating a trademark ...

I like it, oregon. Might have to try that (or talk to you about it) once my Spyderhawk gets some more wear on it right now. I think I'm going to leave it black until it starts to show more wear.

Anodizing on the titanium clips like the ones on the current Salt series could be very cool! Good idea.

I voted red-I really like the idea of translucent, but I'd rather it be unshaded (i.e. not green), which I'm not seeing as an actual available color for G10. I think the light green is interesting, but something that makes more sense on the leafstorm than the Manix.

It's a steel from Carpenter that is supposed to be very much like D2 but with much better corrosion resistance, by my understanding. Not a whole lot of info out there yet, but I've heard good things about it.
