The Millie just begs to be used and shouldn't just sit in your drawer somewhere. I use mine all the time for some very hard work. I do a lot of emergency service work in storms and floods etc, so it might be cutting vines, gypsum/gyprock, ceiling tiles, cables, clearing bark of trees for the chainsa...

Agreed, probably one of the best out there. I used to always EDC a Caly, but since the Stretch arrived, it has been my go to knife 90% of the time (unless I am doing heavy duty work, then the Millie wins out). :D

Don't own one, but wouldn't mind one. I tossed up early in the year between a Police and the Para, but the Police won out. I've got a Millie though, which is awesome. The Para is on the list for this year (providing Sal doesn't release a whole bunch of knives that I just have to have)

I've got one and it is a pretty good knife, in fact, it was my first Spyderco. It is good for DC or as a safe queen.

I definitely have more than a few that I would like to try and/or own. Everyone on this forum said how good the Yojimbo was - but I doubt I will ever get the chance to own one. The top of my wish list is the Viele Phoenix, but it is too expensive for me, as is the Leafstorm - which I would love to g...

Thanks spoonrobot, I was actually wondering what Spydercos reaction was (if the knives got sent).

YIKES! Appears to be chlorine related corrosion, similar to tonydahose's experiment with the Atlantic. http://dmcleish.com/CPF/2009-photos/SpydercoH1/DSC_3122.jpg From this thread: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=235763 Wow, that is plain disturbing. I read the CPF posting, whi...

Welcome back Charge. I have both the Manix 2 and the Stretch, and they are both great knives. They are actually about the same price at my dealer (around the $80 mark). The more expensive Stretch is made with ZDP189 steel. The Manix 2 is a relatively large knife, with an exceptionally strong lock. I...

For around the office and shops, I always used to find myself coming back to the Caly 3. Now, however, the Strech has been my go to knife.

When i am out doing more rugged work, the Millie reigns supreme.

Very interesting review. You could actually fell a small tree with the correct technique. If you use batoning to cut a wedge on the side of the lean (a scarf cut, I think), then do a "backcut" behind the scarf and the tree should fall in the direction of the wedge. Basically, you do the sa...

Very tough. The standouts I've bought this year are the SuperHawk, Stretch and the Manix 2. I think, as far as ED goes, I think the Stretch would be the best purchase this year.

Looks to me like it is the G10 version with the VG10 steel. You can just make out the VG10 stamp in the first picture. I could be wrong though!

A tough choice. I have both (Stretch in SE and Manix 2 in CE) and they are both excellent knifes. The Stretch gets more usage for my because it is much lighter and easier on the pockets. I have to say that I wish I hadn't waited so long to get a Stretch, it solves the main problem I have with the De...

Nice. The FFG would be great in the Endura (and Delica). I only have the Sabre grind which I personally don't like, so I rarely use them. Good to hear you like the one you have though :) . Enjoy!

I've got a Wenger Swiss Military which I wear when I know I am going to knock it around. It is a pretty decent watch for a pretty cheap price. I think I have the Terragraph. Not a bad watch. I have also owned Seikos, Fossils & Timexs, which haven't been too bad, but I like the Wenger the best.
