Re: Better steel for the value line

Better steel would be nice, but I'd much rather have some G-10 with more texture. That's what keeps the Tenacious out of my pocket on most days. The G-10 that they use on the Manix 2 or PM2 would be just great!

Re: Small Manix 2

+1, The Sage 3 is super close at least that's my feeling. It might have a different lock but actuating them feels the same except the Sage 3 lock is easier to depress. They even look alike a little. Here's a pick of my Manix 2 and Sage 3 together to give you an idea: [URL=http://s1130.photobucket.co...

Re: Manix 2 g10

I think it does, I remember watching a vid of a guy taking one apart and I remember the pivot bushing dropping out. It's pretty smooth so it could be. Edit: Here's the vid I watched: https://youtu.be/7c_9vtjda3o" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It looks like it does @ 4:00 mi...

Re: Manix 2 g10

I have 2 right now, the Regular satin Manix 2 G-10 and the DLC (black coated) G-10. The Manix 2 is my favorite Spyderco by far. It fits my hand slightly better than the PM2 (blasphemy, I know) and fits better in the change pockets of my jeans better. The handle on the PM2 is just a little too long t...

Any info on Native 5 G-10 production and delivery?

I've been looking at dealers trying to find any Native 5s in G-10 at places like National Knives, Cutlery Shoppe, and Knife Works but I'm not having any luck. I signed up to be notified by BladeHQ but I heard that they had some in a few days ago, right before I signed up of course. Does anybody have...

Re: Disappointed with my first Spyderco knife

My first 5 Spydies were (in order) a Delica, Para Military 2, Tenacious black oxide coated, Manix 2, and a Manix 2 DLC (black blade). All of them were very well built and fit and finish were good (the Delica had some flashing on the FRN but not much) to excellent (Yes even the Tenacious, who'd have ...

Re: A shorter Paramilitary

I made the first suggestion on the BF board about calling it the "Militia", as it seemed the proper name. I'll stand by that, without Militia our country wouldn't exist. Militia are usually un-enlisted citizen soldiers, pretty much common everyday people. It seems appropriate because it wo...

Re: Have Persistance value folder looking to step up?

We need some more info. How do you carry your knife? I carry mine in the change pocket in my jeans, the Para Military2 won't fit unless I cant it. That makes extraction a little harder/inconvenient. My Delica, both Manix 2s, and Tenacious all fit perfectly. What do you use your knives for? I use min...

Re: What's your most bloodthirsty Spydie?

I have 5 Spydies with two on the way and haven't cut myself yet. I've been reading through this thread flicking my Delica open and closing it the whole time. I do this left or right handed daily. I've also got 2 Manix 2s, a PM2, and a Tenacious that I do this with all the time too. I'm a mechanic so...
