I have no problem getting CTS-BD1, VG-10 or S30V razor razor sharp using the method of 20 strokes per side (per stone) as discussing the included DVD. If it takes 20 for VG-10 then what's the prescribed amount for ZDP-189 or like S90V? Would it be like 40 per side, per stone? Ideas? Experiences? :sp...

Most Brick and Mortar places sell near MSRP..They have to in order to cover their fixed costs...

It's a much more desired steel and color...plus it's what people will pay. They gave anyone who wanted a shot at them for $117 shipped when they 1st offered the pre-order. I bought one then...wish I would have bought 20 :)

Nope...I sell knives here and there, so I pay dealer price. :)

Good stuff. My lightweight Manix has found a regular place in my daily edc rotation. It's a good slicer, just cut up a big tri-tip a few nights back.

Ebay has one for $156 buy it now...

Fortunately right now I can get a ZDP Caly 3 from several VERY GOOD ebay dealers for about $115. It only dropped that low after people realized they were not selling the Caly 3 ZDP for $140 or $150. I do realize that's probably not a good example until the ZDP Caly 3.5 can be had on ebay but regard...

Yea pretty much all you'll need with a decently sharp knife are the fine and ultra fine stones in the 40 degree slots. It's amazing how well it works if you keep the knife straight up n done consistently as you stroke it.

I prob. edc one of my UKPK's more than any other knife. I like the size and how they deep carry. I wish they made a locking (frn) version, but at the same time I like the slipits.

CS has been short on PM2s for at least a year..They are one of the cheapest good shops online. I bought my Black Satin from them last Sept. It was off an e-mail inquiring about stock.
