Re: One of Sal's Finest Creations
The Cricket is one of my all time favorite designs. It’s absolutely cutting genius for it’s size and I still miss mine. I hope that we will see the release a new FRN version at some point. In a previous discussion of that subject, Sal posted they would have to redesign the handle, which would make ...

Re: Lum Tanto C-46 Model in Full SE: That Idea Is Growing On Me
:thinking If edge length is more important would a military tanto SE be more appropriate…? Hey that would be some thing to really consider in SE. And the more I think about it the more I believe that might be even better. And with a blade as long as the C-36 Military you could have a really longer ...

Calypso C54 is ‘The’ Spyderco knife for me. Purposeful and elegant.
I came late to the fold so missed out on it ,but I would love to see another run of these.

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat
My primary work day carry is normally an FRN version of a Chaparral, Jazzlica, Salt, Dragonfly or Meadowlark(iwb). A Victorinox Compact is a constant(lfp). I keep a Micra on my keychain and a full size Multi-tool in my locker at work. Weekends are for heavier duty models when I’m gardening, diy-ing ...

Re: The Spyderco Story: Time For A Sequel?
A digital copy of The Spyderco Story exists. It's in .djvu format with 600 ppi searchable body text. It does not appear to be a community-originated scanned hard copy, but rather a professionally produced e-book derived from official scans or prepress materials. The file has been linked on this for...

Re: What knife do you carry clipless?
I took the clip off my Positron as it created a hotspot. The detente is quite strong and It’s compact enough that I hardly notice it in my pocket.
It’s my only that I’ve felt the need to remove the clip.

I would definitely be interested in a reprint and its sequel.

Re: Random Acts of Kindness Day!
My son used to carry a bag with him everywhere. With things that he thought he may need during the day. At one point it weighed over 8lb’s. :eye-roll A few years ago, he was about ten, his school holiday program took a trip to Hobbiton, not long after they arrived a young girl in their party got a b...

I'd love to see the combo edge with the serrations at the tip and the plain edge near the handle... I'd own one already. Photoslopped:

Hi Sal, thanks for the reply. That’s something to look forward to.
I’m hoping the Cara-Cara Emerson sales will justify a Meadowlark Emerson at some point.
Or an Emerson Wharnie…?

That is nice. Really like the more acute tip.
Did you grind the serrations down to a symmetrical ’v’ and then make the new bevel?
