Scales by Barry Haimes

Back in April, Bobby Branton (aka Knifeslinger) posted a picture of some knives with scales by Barry Haimes on the Spyderco Forum at BladeForums. Here's a link http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum52/HTML/000082.html I'm trying to find the bone one with the etched spider design, as I have a plain edg...

Matt, I have both and I'd be hard pressed to say which one I prefer as I use them differently. The Micarta version goes to work when I want a more dressy knife. The Ltwt slips into my waistband when I go jogging. The AUS8 steel in the BM loses its edge fairly quickly but is easy to sharpen with a fe...

I agree that the plain edge Worker is a great looking knife, much nicer IMO than the serrated version. I keep meaning to clean mine up (sorry, it was a gift, not for sale <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>) and have it engraved for one of my daughters. Might have to do i...

Joyce, I apologise for my previous flippant answer, unfortunately one of our national characteristics is that we don't take anything too seriously (particularly ourselves <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>). The one thing that has and will continue to prevent me buying a...

Sal, "If I'm still interested". Mate, if I was any keener I'd be on the next flight to Golden <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>. Our house was burgled yesterday, lost a bit of stuff mostly replaceable by insurance but also some jewellery with sentimental value...

Cheers,

IIRC Sal said that there were problems getting the bat to stick to the Almite :(. I should've sent R&D one of my kid's sticky lollies, stickiest things I know. Only known solvent is child's saliva, and whose going to let a kid suck their knife handle :). BTW I've been hanging out for the Chinese...

I'd like to see the Centofante Jr. get the "shell" treatment. To me it's a "gentleman's" rather than a "tactical" knife and doesn't really work in G10. Lately my daily carry has been an old style grey model (thanks, Ferret :)) which I like much better than my G10 one. C...

It seems I'm not the only one having trouble posting to this forum. Yesterday it took me 3 or 4 goes to post to the Help topic, and I notice that Joyce and Dexter seemed to have the same problem (I know Dexter isn't blonde LOL). I kept getting an error message saying that there was a syntax error. F...

Sal you've made my day. My daily use involves a lot of sharpening pencils and working with wood so I'm really only interested in plain edge. The larger model looks like the perfect knife for me to take to work without causing undue alarm (it is illegal to carry a knife in a school :)) and still be b...

Help!!!!

I want to put in a bid for the large, plain edge Spyderco/Moki (900EVP) being auctioned on Ebay by 1stopknifeshop. I'm hoping someone here can give me an idea of the original MSRP of these so that I don't end up making a fool of myself and paying more than the knife is worth. The only other thing I'...
