Nice! How solid is the lock-up? The Salt / Delica 3 has a shorter lock bar than the Delica 4 so you wouldn't have swapped the lock bars as well (as I did when I did my Lil Matriarch / D4 blade swap). If the blade / lock bar interface is perfect I can see myself putting coloured scales on a Salt (not...

This morning cut irrigation pipe with an SE Delica 3 .... the teeth just glide through HDPE .... This evening the USN Catcherman cut up a snack. Earlier I'd used it to trim the salmon as well. It doesn't work quite as well as my sashimi knife but it was more fun. 20718...

Definitely going to get one. Debating if I should get 2 before it gets disco'ed seeing it doesn't appear popular.

Not so much love for the large Lum Chinese?

I'm not sure why the Lum large Chinese has slipped under my radar in the past and there doesn't seem to be much commentary given on it. FFG VG10, G10, a very useable blade length and shape for outdoors use and open construction for ease of cleaning. Okay, no choil, no thumb ramp and no jimping but t...

Luke is great to deal with. I have a set of pool green G10 scales for a Delica on order as well as a set of "vintage" micarta scales for one of those other knives with a butterfly on. The textured G10 scales he did for one of my Griptillians changed it from "cheap plastic" into a regular use knife o...

Blade swap done

Lil Matriarch in orange - 10 minute job to get a Lil' Frankenarch, who looks less weapon-like and more tool-like thanks to the orange. It will rotate with my Tasman Salt on days I need teeth. You should put your skills for hire. I, for one, wouldn't mind to order a reasonably priced custom Junior, Dragonfly2, etc... These were the better photos that hid all the flaws :) Compared to Cuscadi and the like, these are very, very amateur. I'm assuming Dragonflys, if the workings are the same ...

Forum name : Psquared Knives : Endura, Delica and Ladybug The Delica and Endura have great sentimental value to me. My 1st generation models were the first Spydercos and first single hand openers that I owned and started the interest in single hand opening, locking folders. A Ladybug is always with ...

I think Junior’s warrantee is void …..

$5 of orange G10 and two hours with my limited shop skills and tools and I think Junior’s warrantee may be a thing of the past but I really like the results! I liked the Junior in theory but the handle was a bit too thin for me and it was just another black knife. The handle is now textured and a bi...

+1 for either Jester or Ladybug with ti scales. Flamed Ti scales would be REALLY nice. Happy with any of the Japanese steels but would suggest VG10 to keep the price down. The reality is that it isn't a big knife and won't do hard cutting .... VG 10 should be able to handle 95% of what is thrown at ...

1 Para2 vs 6 Grips in my collection ...... That said, even though I'm not wild about the pointy Para2 tip, I'd take a Para2 before a standard Grip. I'd take a Ritter Grip with Cuscadi or Wilkins scales or a Gold Grip before a Para2 but then we are no longer talking about remotely similar prices any ...

Why would you be slicing food with a strider? Kitchen knives work better for food. ;) Kitchen knives are cheaper too. :) The tiger stripes scare the vegetables into submission, they virtually peel themselves. The 10mm blade stock makes the spine great for crushing garlic ... be a bit creative and a...

... I prefer the Delica 4 handle..... I hope you are saying that you prefer the Delica handle to the Endura handle of the full size Matriarch rather than you prefer the Delica handle to the Lil Matriarch handle thus implying that they are different. I voted other. I have 3 main reasons: 1. It's a backup. It's rare but i have left the house without a knife in my pocket. I never leave without my keys. 2. It's a small people friendly knife. I can't always pull my EDC and use it. I can pull a Ladybug out practically anywhere. 3. It's a smaller/thi...

Serrated Ladybug. Most of the EDC knives that I rotate and carry in addition to the knife on my keys are plain edge. I like to have the option of some teeth even if it is on a small blade. Occasionally when I EDC a serrated Tasman or Atlantic Salt, I'll swap to a ZDP PE Ladybug.

I wasn't aware of these guys and really like them! I'd be interested in any of the three. Probably more than one of each irrespective of colour or steel (assuming Japanese steel).

I'd be in as long as it isn't transparent (blue or any other colour) with a down spec'd steel.

Blade spine finishing

I got a Sage 2 last week and am enjoying it more than many of my new knives in the last while. I don't want to get into a Sage 2 vs Sebenza thread or turn my Sage 2 into a Sebenza clone but there is one detail on the Sebenza that would be really, really nice on the Sage series. The finish on the spi...

Sounds like a legit 1st generation. Mine is as you describe. The side that the clip is on isn't textured and the pivot pin is housed in a raised section. The grip on the other side has "straight" joints in both directions rather than the current volcano pattern. If yours is a fake, mine came from th...
