There will be more in the future. Just like the salt series the LC200n will get its own handlecolor. Not all of them of course. Has something to do with the color when one goes diving. Not all colors are visible 20 meters below sealevel.

Re: Invitation to the 15th Amsterdam Spyderco meet 2019
It is worth the wait. What to think about a couple of new ‘wooden’ handle Chapparals. I found them very appealing. Also the bow river was present and the waterway. I am not yet into fixed blades, however these two maybe a good start. Some conceptmodels were made in collaboration with Paul Alexander....

Re: Casual Sage 5 Lightweight reveal
The Sage 5 Lightweight will be a sure buy for me. Today i enjoyed holding a preproduction model. The same ergonomics in a lighter package. All edges perfectly rounded. To put a compressionlock into the frn handle is not a walk in the park, Eric told us today. In fact the para 3 LW and Sage 5 LW are ...

Re: Invitation to the 15th Amsterdam Spyderco meet 2019
The meet today was amazing. As a newby i did not know what to expect. We saw a lot of concepts and (pre)production knives. It certainly is a privilege to feel them in hand instead of a picture on the internet and make any comments what we like or like to see improved. I will have to cut my wifes hou...

Re: Native 5 Maxamet
I am a novice sharpener. Learning and liking it. Started on a Wicked Edge, nowadays i mostly use the sharpmaker (with diamond rods). No steel i own is a problem for me until i tried to sharpen maxamet. It got sharp eventually. Had to put in a lot of time. My experience is that maxamet is difficult t...

The UKPK is one of my favorites. Any steel will do, except maxamet (sorry Tom :p ).

Re: Dull Paramilitary 2
Totally agree with Darby. 52100 sharpens very easily. Certainly in comparison with s110v. If you do not want to sharpen at all than s110v is a good choice IMO. It will retain a working edge almost forever. However take into account that it also will not shave hair soon. In your place i would keep th...

Re: It's time... for a new Millie in CPM-Cru wear
Smiles oh yeah you got bit by the Spyder real hard! I already had it bad, but I never warmed up to the military. No more then a few days ago I stated I was content with my collection.. But the sprint cruwear military was a golden opportunity to see what the hype about the military was all about. I ...

Re: It's time... for a new Millie in CPM-Cru wear
There are hardly any people here who get into this hobby and it'll be fun to meet and talk a bit about knives and tools. I am curious how many spyderco fans are coming from NL. Maybe i will meet some at the Amsterdam event. Anyway, the millie is dangerous... i thought it would be to big for my tast...

Re: Do I need a Chaparral LW?
Ruud, You definitely need a chaparral LW. Its thin blade is so much better at cutting stuff. I actually sold my Native 5 maxamet. Allright i am guilty...i kept my others, the s35vn and s90v fluted :D Anyway, i carry the chap often in my front pocket. It is not noticable at all. A bit more lightweigh...

Re: PLEASE HELP WITH MY SHARPMAKER- Many questions
The way i see it is that you can either choose to use a 30 degree backbevel and go with a microbevel of 40 degrees. (Indeed 20 degrees per side.) Or you can sharpen only at 15 dps. The last option is my personal favorite. Wether it is for your Kabar or delica’s. In both cases your knives will get s...

On a similar note, a blacked out version of the Dragonfly 2 Salt (H1, LC200N, or both!) is on my short list of major wants. :) Both please. LC200N PE and H1 SE. All black! Hi Sailhand, It has it' challenges but we're working on it. Funny that the design is 25 years old. sal Yes!! The design is stil...

Re: Cpm s30v vs. Vg10
Interesting. Thanks for the replies! I like how Super Blue sharpens and cuts. I don't own a VG-10 Spyderco but I've been thinking about getting a Dragonfly lately. Still can't quite decide between VG-10 and ZDP-189. I like my ZDP-189 dragonfly and i like VG-10 even more. For the little user i like ...

Re: School Me On Guided Sharpeners
Rick, sharpening M390 with the sharpmaker and the brown rods is in my opinion a big challenge. I am not talking about touch ups but reprofiling. I often still make the mistake to move forward to a finer grit. Just did that today with my chap and was punished for it. Did not see any light reflecting ...

Re: School Me On Guided Sharpeners
Chumango, i have bought the Wicked Edge system a year ago. It is very well suited to reprofile an edge evenly. It uses diamond stones up to 1000 grit. The 1200 grit is ceramic stone. You can also buy placeholders so you can use your own abrasives. The minimum angle you can use depends on the height ...
