Sleep with your knife?
I know it sounds weird but I wasn't raised in a big city and now I live in one. Since my first night here, I've been afraid some guy might break into my appartement or something. So everynight wehn I go to bed, I know where there is a good fixed-blade next to my bed in case some noise wakes me up in...

A good hunting knife?
I think it's fair to say I'm a bit of an outdoorsman. I enjoy camping very much and try to go as much as I can. I've never been hunting though and I think I may have a chance to go with one of my friend. While cleaning fishes or rabbits can be done with almost any short and sharp knife, a good hunti...

Back it those days when I was smoking, I had in my pocket (the one that didn't have the knife) a zippo. I have several of them but my favorite was the 1950' replica model my girlfriend bought me some time ago. Now that I'm older and a bit more sophisticated, I'd like to buy one of Porsche Design lig...

Those are very useful comments. I think I'll send it back at the factory to have it resharpened. You're right, DMT hones work very fast and it may not be the best choice for a knife like Spyderco but that was all I had at this time. The problem is that I do believe Spyderco makes incredibly good kni...

I'm trying to resharpen it at this second. You never know. It's a plain edge ATS-55 Endura...then handle is the black checkered thing(probably Zytel). One of my friend carries a SpyderCard and I asked to look at it. It's not the same type of lock and I guess it would explain that his knife was much ...

Hi and thanks for the quick answer. I'm pretty good witht he sharpmaker, any other knife I own, even much cheaper knives got really sharp witht the sharpmaker. I think something's wrong with mine. You mean that when your Endura is locked open there is no play whatsoever of the blade when you push it...

Bought my first Spyder last year: total waste of money!!
I first saw a spyderco in the hand of Jean-Claude Van Damme in Sudden Death and I wanted to buy one right away. I've always been interested in knives more than the average guy. When I moved to Montreal, I saw one for sale in some store and bought it on the spot. For months I was just impressed looki...
