Re: Question for Michael Janich
I'm really glad you brought this up harronek. It seems like the Hap40 Wharncliffe delicas are going to happen for sure. So, I was going to beg Sal and Michael Janich to Kahr style grind maybe a dozen or so of them for MBC practitioners and students. This is a great opportunity for an ultra light we...

Re: In case it doesn't go without saying, thanks Spyderco.
Hi Oak Tree, I think I can see your point of view, but I also think that assumes that all companies are basically the same. We try very hard to do all of the right things for all of the right reasons regardless of what other companies do. we try hard to be a "model" company in all aspects...

Re: Show your Mule
LOL...ME TOO brother!! :D To answer your question specifically, from one pic to the next I epoxied the parts together and drilled the pin holes. One of these days I'll do a video, I just haven't had the time to put one together lately. I put together a pretty complete photo description of the proce...

Re: In case it doesn't go without saying, thanks Spyderco.
How is that weird, bro? If you just read, the owner of the company just thanked all of us too. I don't want to stir up an argument. It is clear that everyone here is very sensitive and protective of the brand. I love my Spyderco knives too. I'm just trying to imagine people thanking Toyota for maki...

Re: Show your Mule
If there's something specific you'd like to see or know about just let me know and I'll post a pic and an explanation for you. :) I want to know everything. If you had a video of you making the scales I'd totally watch it. In one image you have separate blocks of C-tek, copper, and carbon fibre. In...

There's nothing wrong with it at all. I just find it a bit over the top to be thanking a business for selling you their product.Sharp Guy wrote:So what's your point? Are you saying that there's something wrong with thanking a manufacturer for providing us products that we enjoy?

Not to be overly cynical, but you do realize that Spyderco is a "for profit" organization, right? It's a business (with fierce competition). Spyderco customers pay good money for Spyderco products.

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
I'd remove some of the grease to prevent lint issues, if that white/gray goo is grease. A little goes a long way. And Imho, you don't need lubricant right on that spot. That's Frog Lube. I stuck some in there with a toothpick after practicing my whetstone sharpening and getting the entire knife soa...

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
You need to assemble the knife entirely other than the lock bar. You put the lockbar in last. You insert the lockbar and then press the d-bolt through. You can find some videos on youtube showing this method. Its actually fairly easy if you do it this way. I watched a couple of videos (including Ni...
