Sprints and Exclusives

I knew I was not here for a long time, but only having logged in now it showed me how long. Over 3 years! Great to see some changes, a lot of new forumites, lots of activity. As things pick up everything is snowballing, number of new models, variations, forum posts, other items offered. Hard to keep...

Re: Need advice: unexpensive item from SFO

Thanks.

Was thinking about bandana, though it's just a piece of cloth for $16.
Have no use for display stands.
Lanyards seem rather expensive, no?

Maybe lapel pins...

P.S. Thanks SpyderNut ;)

Need advice: unexpensive item from SFO

It's been ages since I was here. This place is addictive and makes me drool and spend what I don't have. Now I am considering to buy from SFO and was quoted the shipping charge rather steep. Alternatively, I can pick one or few cheap items and have free shipping :D The question is what is worth and ...

Still looking for solution (forget the pun).

Tried re-applying jelly, more and different oil, some sandpaper, soap and water.
Even rubber eraser from the pencil.

Nothing so far. Sure it will wear off some time by itself, but will see what else can remove it.

Thanks everyone.

So far, oiling it had no effect, regular soap and rubbing alcohol either.
Did not realize this stuff was so dangerous, actually read about it here, on the forum.

Will keep posted how it goes.

Grease lines

Not long ago after seeing the product highly recommended here I bought some Naval Jelly Rust Dissolver. With hot and humid summer it's quite handy as rusty dots and spots occur, especially on EDC ones. Today, to remove some such spots I used this Jelly and had just a bit left over. So I decided to p...

That's sweet. Before I remembered I can not be buying any, I tried and it gave me $100.90 shipped. Is there coupon code?

Just wondering now, won't be buying for some time.

I was not looking so much to strip the paint, but learn of the differences and reasons why. So, for now we have Para and Mili and Crossbill (Byrd) clips with really sticking paint. The most of other models tend to lose the color rather fast. Why the difference? What is the process/method used on bot...

Black clips on folders

The issue of discoloration of blackened clips on Spyderco folders have been beat up before. Several months ago it occured to me that paint started chipping away from Native's clip almost immediately after I looked at it (took it out of the box and carried for a day, actually). However, clip on Cross...

Have couple of people in mind. But, no matter who wins, this is about the cause, not anything else. And that's what matters.

Just wish there was no such grim cause for this kind of giveaways.

I'd love to chime in on this. Really, it's a great opportunity not only to provide input, but also hope to have what you wished for in production. By now, everybody had mentioned by far more colors than I ever suspected existed. So, I'd just second the idea of clear/transparent one - it is novel and...

Paul, thanks a lot for the comparison.

I figured there must be huge difference, but thought there could be something besides the size, obvious, yet hidden from me. :)
