Re: Power Lock
Don't underestimate the Chinook 4. Master James Keating knows exactly what needs to be in a knife. I bought one and it absolutely is one of my favorite designs. Not so at first looks but I trust James. He knows his stuff. I have a Tatanka as well and it's good as well, but a Lot of knife.

Re: S30V Support Club
S30V is bad@ss steel and completely works for me. I'd be alright with nothing else. I think it's more steel than most folks ever need or can put through edc tasks. My Buck 101 fixed blade with 420hc is sharp af, tough af, and with Bos heat treat bad to the bone. Why do you think it took Buck so long...

Re: Sharpening K390
All great advice. I learned to find the angle on any knife tho is take a sharpie and mark the edge. Use lightest stone and when you wipe edge clean leaving no sharpie marks that's the angle. Could be 17° on one side and 21° on the other side. And I'm not saying it's just Spydie knives it's all knive...

Re: So I did a thing...
There is only 1 thing I have mixed feelings about my Shaman. It's upon closing how it moves up in the lock part of knife. Unlike a PM2 where you can hold your finger there. But I also like it because I use it to bump the blade out and open quickly if I choose. Which is not often but still an option....

Re: So I did a thing...
Shamans are so cool. Congrats on your choice and may it serve you well. I recently got one while in Golden at the factory and yes it needs to be in hand to truly appreciate the ergos. Awesome movie to by the way.

Re: Cruwear micarta Bushcraft/Proficient
I say no sleeve. Sitting lower in sheath is definitely something I prefer. But I also appreciate the pocket sheaths. Like at Knivesshipfree. Those things are awesome and work so well. I'd definitely appreciate something more along those lines than a sheath on the belt.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
2020-05-23 09.11.36.jpg I have been looking at that thing for so long. One of these days I'm going to break down and buy one. You won't regret it. I wasn't sure about it either, but it's in my pocket all the time. And it's got the same backlock as the tatanka. It's really grown on me. And James is ...
