I’ve worked in the aerospace industry for a bit over 30 years and we always use ESD (electro-static discharge) wrist bands and cables to bleed off any kind of tribo-charging.
I would imagine it’s the same as grounding/earthing.

Re: About grounding/earthing
I don’t know much about it but I spend a lot of time outside barefoot. I’ve always heard my hippie friends talk about being barefoot for grounding. I’m not much of a hippie, more of a country boy, but I am almost always barefoot when working in the garden. I have done it since I was a kid and as I ...

Re: 2023 Seconds sale! ..are you going?
Pretty crazy to think that we are only roughly 6 weeks out from when the seconds sale traditionally takes place! I really look forward to it every year. 1,038 miles from my house in Northwest Indiana. I don’t really make the trip for the knives, it’s to hang out with all the friends on the forum th...

I think we should contact NASA and see if they can sharpen the focus on the picture. I worked for the Hubble Space Telescope years ago.

If anyone hasn’t seen any of the AI generated obituaries, look up the one from Microsoft written up recently about NBA player Brandon Hunter.
Looks like AI isn’t ready for prime time.

Re: My Spyderco observations from recent unsuccessful Colorado elk hunt…
Interesting to know. I was talking with a coworker who’s talking about going elk hunting later this year. I was going to ask him if he wanted to borrow my Stretch 2 in K390 just to see how K390 would do for camping & hunting. I don’t know what the weather will be like, but so far, it’s been a we...

Re: Phosphor Bronze washers: Theory and Innovation?
I wonder if PB washers are made in standard sizes, (inner/outer diameters and thicknesses,) like other nuts, screws, and washers? Using a few common sizes would cut down on the inventory a company would have to keep on hand, and possibly cost.

Lots and lots of grasshoppers out in the open spaces this year. The bigger ones hang out on the Black Eyed Susans with some sort of wasp look-alike.

Contact Palmetto State Armory for a replacement, or contact Spyderco and talk to them about sending it in for evaluation. It could be a warranty issue. https://www.spyderco.com/service-suppor ... ty-repair/

Re: Storage Solutions
I like the small Spyderpac. I have a couple. there was a point where i thought filling one was where i'd stop. i should probably buy a second now. I have them in all of the pockets on the Spyderpacs and up to two more knives clipped to the outside of the pockets. I’m not suggesting this will solve ...

Only problem.. I can't fit my socks in there anymore. Any ideas for a nice sock storage solution?
Cut the socks up to use as cushioning around the knives.

Yeah, it's great that you had a good time there. I have both the Micarta/Cru-Wear PM 2 and the Gray-Blue Zome Delica. Both have razor edges after a light dusting off on the Sharpmaker, especially the Super Blue steel on the Delica. I've got another knife with Super Blue steel, and despite sharpening...

Andi sitting in the window, on bug patrol. When I first looked at picture I thought he was a wall mount ! Beautiful cat ! No, she’s very much alive. 😉 I adopted her about two years ago at the local county animal shelter, they picked her up as a stray. I think she’s 99.9% Burmese. The dark Burmese c...
