I don't know how big her hands are but I remember thinking a 3.5" SAK was large at that age. I'd go with the dragonfly rather than the delica.

I like the lock click when it happens if as I'm using the knife but I don't generally do it just for fun. Same thing with my guns... I shoot them at the range but I don't take them out of the safe at home and screw around with them just for the fun of it. I suppose if you put a normal amount of stre...

My first knife was a "Materhorn" Sharp brand SAK copy that my Dad bought for me when I was 5. Quite a few knives later and my first Spydie was a fully serrated Endura ~1991.

A Leatherman Squirt PS4 on my keychain replaced a SAK in the pocket. The tools are smaller but they work in a pinch and there's a proper toolkit or large multitool in the vehicles, garage and shooting bag if needed. I used to pocket carry different SAKs, up to the Champion in size, but that weight b...

Yeah, but you just bought a $5,000 shotgun. :D :D :D Ha! No, that is way way more than I'd spend on a shotgun. Target fees are what gets me. I look at a Domino that I really want and figure I could shoot ~ 300 clays for the same amount of money. Since I've been into knives for 30 years but on...

My Dad has been carrying a Gerber EAB that I gave him a few years ago. When I think of all the stuff he does (he's a lot handier than I am) it always makes me rethink all the crap I carry around in my pockets and the twisted-logic-justifications I come up with for buying another relatively expensive...

I use miltec but don't usually go through the heating routine. After the excess is wiped off the remaining bit doesn't seem to attract as much lint/dust as 3in1 or remoil.

I think back when they were all stainless and tip down, there was controlled thumb opening and the spydie-drop. Like today when controlled thumb just isn't fast or flashy enough, the spydie-drop scratched that itch back then. Also some may find that the linked thumb-finger through the hole is actual...

My Father and Grandfather always carried one and allowed me to do the same when I was old enough. Dad was surprised when he found out I didn't carry it to school - I started public school seemingly at the very beginning of the period where rural traditions were passing away in the mid 80s urban subu...
