Hmm, this is interesting...I want to know more! If it is replacing the CTS-B75P why? And what is the difference in steels? I really know nothing about B75P...so how does it compare to S30V or 30P2?? B75P (BG-42) takes a finer edge (IMO) and is easier to sharpen than S30V, but it has sightly less we...

Here's a cool Radiation chart for everyone to check out. I love the whole perspective of the comparisons. Sorry for blowing out the margins :p .
Quakeman, I genuinely hope this helps you out, as even a tainted knife wouldn't be anywhere near a single green square.

Yeah, I don't see myself ever doing that. As said by everyone else, batoning should remain an exclusive fixed blade use. If I really wanted to break my knives, I'd throw them at a doorjam, run them over with a bobcat, or make them duel my lawnmower. :D

If you're not going to be cutting food with it, +1 for the Tuf-cloth. I use it and my knives never rust. They're really popular for use with guns, that's why I picked first one up. They work great for all metal though. Also, it's a dry lube, so there's not a wet layer of "goo" that gets ev...

Whenever I get my order form from bento box, I'll have a sneaker waiting for the M4 Manix ;) . Awesome! Can't wait to see the results. I really expect it to stand out among the others because of its reputation and my personal experience with it. I was one of the first to pre-order so I got mine at ...

It would be really awesome if you used something with M4. I would hope that it do better than the others. 52100 is supposed to be quite tough though, so who knows.

Digi-Camo Manix 2

After messing around with my new Tan M4 Manix, it made me think of a new variation Spyderco hasn't tried yet(as far as I know). It's obvious that the Manix 2 is a big hit, just look at all the different sprints. Maybe there's room for one more... How would you guys feel about a desert digi-camo Mani...

I don't live where you do so I don't really have a good handle on what is going on in NZ all about knives...but I might approach this topic with authorities in a different manner...First I would make a list of all the people in NZ that use a knife as a tool in their given professions, ...Doctors, C...

I pretty much did what Jackknifeh did. A drop of Tuf-Glide in the pivot and Tuf-Cloth for the blade. I was into guns before knives and the Tuf products are a carry over from that. Plus, I live 300yds from the bay and 10 minutes from the gulf, so it's just a habit now. It's really one of the best pro...

We do sell Militec-1 in SFO and we do use it in R&D, but the lube used in production is actually Viper Lube by Loctite. Kristi I don't know if they coat the blades with it because that post is from a thread discussing pivot lube, but it might be the same stuff. Someone else probably knows for s...

My work brought me to the Denver area this week, and so I of course had to make my first visit to Golden. I got to check out the entire selection, got an old Native touched up, was greatly touched and impressed by the WTC D'Allara exhibit, and learned how Spyderco sends 50 free knives each month to...

Well done!

That is AWESOME! I can't believe how cool that looks, it made me think that a camo Manix would look great as well.

Also, I always like seeing custom spyder mods. This pic also needs to be in the thread in the picture section for modded spyders.

P.S. How did you do that?!

A 5.5"-7" fixed blade in CPM 3v or secondly but not quite as desired (for me in this instance) M4. Yeah, just try and break that kind of knife, not gonna be easy  .

The obligatory chart, look at the freakin' toughness:

Before I got a Manix, I was unimpressed. They don't look like much in pictures but when I finally did buy one, it took me by surprise. You have to hold one to understand how perfect the handle is designed to fit your grip. If possible take a look at one in person, it will leave an impression. It's r...
