Hey I figured it out! By the way, that is a picture of the sun shining through a Mamba spydiehole. It turned out worse than I expected.

How am I supposed to post pictures?

I know I can use the attachment feature, but I have to scale my images a lot (they're in 4k.) I have heard people host pictures on photobucket, which I do, but how can I make it show up in a post?

Re: New blade material for Spyderco

Nice idea, but can you imagine the price difference between synthetic diamond and steel? The knives would cost a fortune!

I don't own any autos but my uncle was planning on buying one from Protech. I'll have to ask him if I see him.

There's no Mamba on that list! Unfortunately, I think all my other Spydies have been put up. :P

Re: Sprig/Junction or Bradley Bowie/Southfork?

I think I would be using it for light camping work (not batoning or anything) and some fishing. The Sprig seems nice.

Re: Sprig/Junction or Bradley Bowie/Southfork?

I would say get the bowie and the sprig so you will have a good mix of sizes. How are you liking your mamba? I love the Mamba. It is everything I wanted it to be and more. Everyone's complaints about the unsharpened part seem silly now, because it's really only like a centimeter of blade lost. It f...

Sprig/Junction or Bradley Bowie/Southfork?

I'm looking into a Spyderco fixed blade. I found that the Sprig and Junction are both $179 at BHQ and the Bradley Bowie and Southfork are both near $270. My predicament is, should I get either a Sprig or a Junction, or step it up a level and get a Bradley Bowie or a Southfork?
Thanks!

Five. UKPK, Endura, Delica, Positron and Mamba. Quite an interesting variety.
Hopefully more on the way!

Re: ATS-55: A Brief but Interesting Era in Spyder History

My first Spydie was an ats-55 endura. If it says anything about the steel, I received it from my dad with half an inch of tip missing. ):

This was a cool thread to make. I actually had about $450 saved after my birthday and I ended up with a Mamba and a Benchmade Mini Griptilian.

It was already a thin, slicey knife and you made it thinner and slicier!

Re: If someone wanted to buy you a Spyderco for your birthday...

I know the question has been answered but I just have to chime in that I would have gotten the Pattada. It's such an underrated knife for the price. Apparently the action on them is very smooth and n690 plus polished g10 is a nice combo. They're currently $173 on KC.
