Cruwear fits the knife so well, a tough and stout folder with a tank of a steel... unless I end up hating the knife (which is on order btw the s90v/CF variant) I'll definitely be getting that if I have the chance!curlyhairedboy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 6:12 amThe upcoming cruwear micarta version is going to be amazing.

Re: Problem with Maxamet PM2 from the new run
To answer the discussion going on, I really wish I knew how to post pictures at the time when this happened because I would have shown with some pictures the problem and as quoted earlier I literally was able to take some of the bend out that occured at the tip with just my thumb... not something a ...

Re: Problem with Maxamet PM2 from the new run
Right on, yea it is. I'm curious to see what they say! Me too! I'm curious if it was human error or malfunction of machinery as its a problem that could have lead from many sources. Plus I really wanna get a Maxamet PM2 back haha... had it for all of maybe 8 hours before I noticed the problem and t...

Re: Shaman Questions
Ive got them both, and like them both, but yes. The Chief has a very fine point and thinner blade. Great for piercing and slicing. When it comes to cutting a roll of paper towels in half, only the police 4 does as well as the chief. I wouldnt call the chief or p4 delicate, but the Shaman is a heavy...

Re: Shaman Questions
I own 30ish Spydies, the Shaman is my favorite. Stout blade with a flat spine, but good tall flat grind so still plenty slicey. Great open close action. The handle is great, hard to go back to flat scales after getting used to it. The smooth G-10 is awesome (doesnt wreck your pockets, and it's cont...

Re: Problem with Maxamet PM2 from the new run
Any updates? Nope... my knife was delivered to Spyderco the first week of July and now we're a quarter way through August. I know they're busy but its getting on the excessive side now. I might follow up next week if I don't hear anything just to see, I think 6 weeks is a fair amount of time to all...

Re: Problem with Maxamet PM2 from the new run
Just bought PM2 in Maxamet a couple of days ago. A beauty, a bunny and joy forever if not for this issues discribed here. And now I am not usre whether mine has it, or not. How do I test/check? Has anyone tried to scratch a glass bottle with the spine of the blade? Anything with HRC >61 is supposed...

It's also the one that combines superior tip strength with a fantastic lock. Thanks for the reply! Also this is the main reason im gaining interest in the knife, you get the strong tip/blade design of the Native with the really solid/fun to use lock of the PM2. Not to mention you also get some more...

Shaman Questions
Hello, ever since its release the Shaman has always been a knife I've considered but never purchased due to some things I consider flaws. That being said my overall 2 favorite models are the PM2 and the Native 5 and the Shaman is basically a cross between the two taking key things from each knife. R...

Re: Signatures on blades
#push# Really curious to learn why there are both Sal's and Eric's signature on the pm2, who did what, and if there are other spydies that have 2 or more signatures on'em...? Thanks in advance! The new Native Chief also has both Sal and Eric on it. I dont know if they say divide the knife 50/50 and...

Re: I've got about $150 to spend...
Well I've got a 52100 and Maxamet Para 3 and I've gotta say they're both absolutely stunning knives... like others have said maybe try for the St Nick's Lil native or the M390 Para 3. Personally I dont care for the M390 Para 3 so I'd try for the Lil native and default to one of the other two but it'...

Re: CPK (Canadian UKPK) — Canada Law Questions
Canadian myself and as far as I know as long as your folding knife is under 4" blade, being carried specifically as a tool and not for self defense (this is what you tell the cop) and isn't a gravity knife, automatic or Bali you're basically good to go. I know there was stuff going on at the bo...

Re: Native Chief first and ongoing impressions thread
Just received the chief a few days ago! Originally I said I wasn't going to buy just the plain S30V version but I took my Maxamet Native 5 LW to work with me for a couple days and that got me thinking maybe it needed a big brother... few youtube videos later and guess what showed up at the door. Rea...

Smock and Ikuchi were too popular for their own good! Won't hesitate on purchasing when they come around for a second time that's for sure.

Re: Paramilitary2 revisited
Surprised you didnt have a similar love with your 52100 PM2, Cruwear and 52100 are actually fairly close in behavior. 52100 loves to take a screaming sharp polished edge in my experience and holds it long enough while being tough as nails. Both steels also will patina over time and build some chara...

Re: My last 3 knife purchases.
Spydies are so good you'll start eyeballing your knives from other companies thinking "I could sell you and pick up some more Spyderco models" I almost couldn't.... cause I literally have only one single (quality) folder left any more that's NOT a Spyderco... :o I am convinced and know ot...
