Re: Spyderco bench stone questions

All 3 stones came brand new in box. It's not that they don't feel different. Its they don't feel that different. Seemingly leaving a large gap and a lot of work for the uf to pick up. Re: Exotic Japanese steels

Sal:

Sir, How about White Steel, Hap40, SG2, or Magic on a caly model? Or anything in carbon. I would imagine this request would be a sprint run.

A white steel would be interesting in a sprint or some type of hitachi steel. Carbon preferred in a sprint.

Understand that it is hard to let go of some, but I am a firm believer like you of using these tools. Besides a high bevel, I do not see anything super visually wrong with your sharpening job. You should see my techno's bevel. I just wanted to confirm it was the kink and not the bevel on the Manix t...

I don't like boosters on this type of knife either because they add too much unnecessary weight and weaken the whole design because the liners are the only thing holding it together agreed no bolsters and no H1; also not sure about vg10 in a sprint as you can get this knife in production with VG10....

Great knife, great steel. The caly 3 and 3.5 SB are my favorite knives. Perfect ergos, pocket clip/ride, and blazing sharp easy to sharpen steel. I edc these knives more than any others.
