Re: Blemishes? Advice Needed
It seems that way, because of the arc. But when I open and close the blade, the scratch stays completely exposed through its travel. So it appears that it happened before assembly. ah. This isn’t something that Spyderco will fix, is it? If it was a regular production model then I'm sure they could ...

Re: Blemishes? Advice Needed
Chances are, with the scratch's location on the blade, it's from contact with the liner in one way or another. So you could probably polish it out yes, but it would likely reappear. I have a few knives with scratches like this, usually from the edge of the finger choil. Best you can do is tune up yo...

Re: Lil’ Waterway
I like the idea material wise, but the waterway is very much designed to fit the hand at its size, you can make it longer but messing with dimensions in any other direction will mess with the absolutely perfect ergonomics. But to be fair I trust Lance more than anyone to come up with that smaller ed...

Re: Why are so many people concerned with perfect blade centering?
Depends on the knife, If it's full flat ground in the way spydercos usually are or if the sabre grind ends before contact with the handle, then slight off center-itude is usually fine since there's very little chance of blade rubbing. But if the grind is close enough to the handle when closed it ca...

Re: 2021 Forum Knife Wishlist
Well, it wouldn't happen, but uhhhhhh 4v Smallfly 2 with green or grey terotuff scales. Edit: Or hey! It's a balisong! Do different colors on the safe and bite handles! But realistically, there's been a lot of talk about classic models and everywhere legal knives this past year, so something old rev...

I follow Danny DeVito-ism strictly, so just toss em in the trash along with me.

Re: Small Blade For A Parkour Athlete
Small fixed blade like the swick, or a backlock like the native 5 salt. I feel the safety concerns for sure, I’ve had a number of liner locks and axis locks open in my pocket while cycling or hiking. Back locks won’t fail ya, or stab ya.

Re: My favorite small knife is back from Mr Reinhold!
Sure is! Hand polished by me though to match the screws. It’s (in my opinion) the ideal clip replacement for the “spyderco small spoon clip”. So that’s the Rhino, McBee, and a few others I think.Notsurewhy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 4:31 pmLooks nice! The teal peeking out is a nice touch. Is that a Benchmade mini deep carry clip?

Email Reinhold Knives, he does scales for his designs every once in a while. Check out his instagram for some other examples.austrian_spyder_fan wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 12:35 pmHe Abyss_Fish,

My favorite small knife is back from Mr Reinhold!
Realized I accidentally color coordinated myself with this knife and figured that meant I should post some pics of it here finally. This had been in the works since mid October, and I got it back a week or so ago. Gorgeous two layer scales with black/grey terotuff on top with a roughed up finish, an...

Re: Any interest in the return of integral comp locks?
An Ikuchi with an integral lock, interesting steel, lock insert, and over travel stop would have my attention. I'd like to see the salsa design before I give my 2 cents. ANY variation on the ikuchi would have my attention. What a spectacular design bogged down by peel ply cf and standard steel. An ...

Re: Any interest in the return of integral comp locks?
I think it would be cool to include this in the Sage series. Not sure if a knife that's already a comp lock can be transitioned to an integral comp lock without making a bunch of changes I would assume it just means extending the liner design over and slapping a lockbar insert in. The only differen...

Re: Help! I need some Ti work done!
Not sure what size chain you are using, but could the loop be big enough for the chain to go through, that way you wouldn't have to open and close it...??? Or is it a chain without a clasp? I initially thought you could just put the bead on the chain, but I am guessing you don't want to do that. I'...

Any interest in the return of integral comp locks?
Title says it all really, every time I open the picture gallery I see Mr. Blonde's Ti salsa and feel like I desperately need that lock. Is anyone else as fascinated by the Integral Ti comp lock as me? I figure it could start with the sage line, as it's all about different locks and has gotten some a...

Re: Help! I need some Ti work done!
Okie dokie, so basically I want a post put through the center of it with a ring parallel to the hole of the bead. Ideally a simple jewelry split ring for easy attachment to a chain. It’d need anodizing as well but that’s not super complicated. https://i.ibb.co/9TJgmLf/CCB3-CD8-F-937-A-4948-8026-AC3...

Re: Help! I need some Ti work done!
I need a recommendation for someone who does Titanium milling/refinishing. I've got a necklace I made that I've been wearing for about 4 years now, but I keep having to repair it so I'm trying to have it remade slightly more solid. So basically I have a Ti bead that needs a ring attached to it so i...

Re: Help! I need some Ti work done!
What about a local jeweler that does all their repair work in house? I figure they might not be equipped to mill Ti. Since most jewelry is gold, silver, or mild steel. All of which are much less resilient than Ti. But mens Ti wedding bands are more and more of a thing so who knows. I’ll look into it.
