Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

My friend secured me a HIC Mule at the IWA. I should have it soon and directly try to sharpen it :open-grin

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?

Hey Robin, Totally honest: OF COURSE I would carry and use even the most special anniversary Spydie, just as I would the 25th and 40th! Most likely even more than any other variant of the same model and definitely for any, also harder tasks! Being so special in several ways (by its looks and its ba...

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?

Well Gernot, would you actually use the previous anniversary knives for anything more than light cutting tasks ? The 25th Delica or 40th Native are really special pieces, if I were to actually use the models, it'd be something like the K390 Delica or any Native 5 that isn't this one :grin-smiling-ey...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2024 Report

The Charisma is clearly a strictly cutting tool (which is supposed to be the case for most knives anyway). It will pack the cutting geometry of a scalpel in a really thin and non-aggressive package. Ideal for cutting stuff like paper on a cutting board, schmatics and all.

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2024 Report

Looking at the prices of U.S. made folders with CTS-BD1N blade steel and FRN scales (Para3 & Native Chief) I’m guessing a street price of around $130-$140 for the Charisma. Ouch! Big money for a such a knife - I’d expect to be paying no more than $80. The Golden made Ukpk in the same steel with...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2024 Report

Thank god the Charisma is one we are able to talk about !
Definitely a favorite of mine. It's a really small folder with a crazy thin blade (1 or 1,5mm) it's a lightsaber :open-grin

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?

Forgot that the Native 5 had been done for the 40th birthday !
I'm in for anything then, but I have to admit that a Fluted ti Military 2 (or OG in RIL) would be magnificient :open-grin

Re: Para 3 Lightweight CPM-15V – Spyderco Design Production Sample 2024

Standard production is good news, I really understood that it was all golden models in sprint-runs and that's it :) I asked again during the IWA Show, and that is what I heard there. Still, when the next Reveal drops, we'll know for sure ;). Oh man, that is excellent news :open-grin ! I hope the Na...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

[...] With regard to sprint runs, I had it in my head that it would be difficult for a factory to "tool up" for a knife like the Slysz Bowie, but may it isn't. I might not understand the question but if there is ever a sprint-run, it would be made by the same factory that made all the run...

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?

(I said I'd like any model, with a preference for older ones, but If i had any choice, it'd be a Native 5 with the og blade pattern, deeper hollow)

I'm joining Dan on that, an early model is my preference but I'd be okay with pretty much everything. It's more about the symbolic of it :)

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

I'm sorry, but it just seems that the management is too obstinate to see that the demand is there, but too proud to admit that, because "it didn't sell well the first time so we gotta stand by what we said that there won't be another run" despite sales figures and afi clamor showing anoth...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

It's not all FOMO. We can't really speak about FOMO in this forum where most people are afis. Many of us will buy 5 or 10 knives from every reveal. However, i frequent groups of 10k people that went crazy on this because a good numbers of "known people" shared the KJ exclusive drop 10 time...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

Just to be more precise : what I said has nothing to do with my opinion on the knife. I just wanted to repeat what Eric said to me which is : we won't see it returning to production. I was asking about a possible sprint-run because we would definitely love to be able to pay around 500€ to get one fr...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

Still doesn't explain why Spyderco doesn't do another run of the original, especially with the updated hardware. 2 runs of the KJ exclusive and it sold out fast, what proof does the company need more? People in this forum and all over social media have been asking for YEARS already to bring back th...

Re: Screw Sizes / please post if you have them !

Spyderco Military 2 screw specs, anybody?🤔 Checking RN Results for Military 2 : - Pivot is T15 with 8-32 threads - Body are T8 with 4-40 threads (like on Manix, PM2 and Para 3) And to Dodge : Yeah I've been redirected to their website many times, but I've tried to not buy from the USA just because ...
