Manix 2 or Shaman.
The shaman would work but it looks like part of the hole is covered by the handle similar to the yojimbo 2, which isn’t as comfortable as I’d like.

Is the shaman more comfortable?

Most comfortable spyderco hole / spyderco folder for large hands that isn’t part of the “ military “ series?

I’m looking for any opinion on the most comfortable blade that opens easily with one hand, but isn’t a para or military etc. This is due to local regulations. I have no blade length restrictions besides it cannot be an assisted opener, however cannot carry “dangerous” knives, and knives with militar...

Re: Are we allowed to ask to purchase a UKPK drop point maroon frn?

Congrats! Glad you were able to score one. The old UKPKs hung around at a few spots for a looong time, but would guess they finally started to dry up around a year ago. I bought 4 or 5 from Knifework's new old stock over the last few years (appear to be all gone). Really like the maroon. I carry a ...

Sharpmaker bar keepers friend

https://i.imgur.com/daOoQL4.jpg Just wanted to double check with you guys that this is indeed the correct brand and type of bar keepers friend for cleaning up the Sharpmaker rods. I’ve seen a liquid version and a different powder version, but I believe this is the correct one. Bar Keepers Friend Po...

Re: NYC knife laws question

In theory, as long as it is COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY concealed, it's legal. In practice, when it comes the legality of any given knife in NYC the only certainty is that it cannot be guaranteed. Good enough for me, the blade is 3.75 inches long and I'll make sure it's concealed and won't tell anyone I...

NYC knife laws question

I am reopening this thread as I plan to travel to a few parts of NYC I do not frequent very often and have reconsidered taking a blade. What is the likelihood of someone ( well dressed, non violent, married, etc. ) that had a fixed blade under 4 inches being detained and taken into custody. I'm not ...

Re: Southard Flipper, NY gravity knife law. Upstate New York.

I wouldn't risk it myself, but then I also wouldn't live in that state if you gave me a free house. My parents moved here when I was an infant from New Orleans and I've lived here most of my life, and we have a business locally. So moving really isn't on my list. I am in a conservative upstate coun...

I was born here and have a business. So moving really isn't on my list. I am in a conservative upstate county which regularly permits concealed carry. I just don't like how vague the knife laws are.

Re: Southard Flipper, NY gravity knife law. Upstate New York.

I've done quite a bit of my own research and while I do believe a crooked cop could try to make a case out of just about anything to be a " gravity knife " ( and I've gone over this before in a different thread ) specifically regarding the " Flipper " aspect I believe I'm safe? C...

Southard Flipper, NY gravity knife law. Upstate New York.

Would the Southard Flipper be considered a " gravity knife? " I carry a CRK with no problem but I wonder if the " Flipper " would be able to be manipulated to fitting the bill.

I'm going by NY state law, not NYC, I live upstate.

Re: Highest end Spydercos?

Oh, if you're just talking about highest grade materials, you could frankenstein a Titanium Military or Fluted Titanium Military with a S110V blade. The Taichung, Taiwan knives have pretty amazing quality. If you're judging by price tag, the Lionspy isn't too bad, and there are some other pretty hi...

Re: Highest end Spydercos?

Thanks for the suggestions looking at them now guys as we speak. There was this one folder I saw awhile back it had brown G10 over titanium handle frame? It was a serious flipper and I'm drawing a blank myself on the name. Any ideas? Thanks again. Hahaha funny how the brain works it's called a South...

Highest end Spydercos?

May I have a list of the highest end spydercos produced? Not G10 or para's ( I know they are great ) but I'm looking for the premium market. Titanium handles, good steel s30v+ etc. Thanks :spyder:
