I'm carrying my PE Merlin today, inspired by this thread.

Useful may be a bit harsh, but hard to understand... yes.

Great feel in the hand. It is a bit bulky in the pocket, but I don't mind that too much.

One thing to watch is that the pivot doesn't get too loose. With the hefty blade it can have a tendency to flip open when, say, running down a flight of stairs with it clipped to your left cargo pocket... :o

Spydies are nice because the hole can be zip-tied closed. Customs agents are not permitted to cut the zip-tie - or tamper with any object. A knife-with-a-hole should be good to go from there. If the knife has an adjustable pivot, ask your e-retailer to tighten it previous to shipping out. NGK has do...

Good looking truck. A buddy has a 2003 2-door Taco as a work truck and loves it. It's been reliable for him, and he's not too gentle with it. Hopefully the new ones perform as well. I enjoy getting out on the trails. I've got a 2004 Land Rover Discovery. It's lots of fun to get out and take in some scenery that would otherwise be hard to get to. The Tasmans are great, but don't forget to look at the Byrd Crossbill as well. It's got a milder curve to the blade, and Stainless Steel handles, and is fairly inexpensive. A good way to test out the hawkbill-style knives.

I have Foxy Tunes, Forecast Fox, Gmail Manager, IE Tab and Colourful Tabs as add-on extensions. I use the Road Sign themes, for something different.
