Definitely a huge fan of my Yang. I find it fine for most tasks (including carving reasonably large legs of lamb, pork etc.). It would be good to have a heavier one for deboning though and perhaps a smaller one for more delicate tasks. I've gotta say, and I don't want to get flamed here, but I'd act...

Very interesting question. I have a reasonable amount of rescue experience in both general land rescue and inland water rescue (no vert rescue or road crash rescue though). -What features are nice to have? Wharncliff EDIT: or Sheepsfoot blade is a no brainer for me. I also like SE with a reasonable ...

Your best & most useful Spyderco
Hi all, Haven't been around in a while - been pretty busy. I've been thinking about my Spydies lately and which one I would consider to be the best and most useful knife I've bought. My Millie is a great workhorse and I love my Caly III with its brilliant blade shape. My Stretch II is very well desi...

First Generation Rescue
Hi guys, A friend of mine pulled out a first generation Rescue (which I didn't even know he had) today. I was pretty impressed. I do have one question though, the hollowed slit in the handle - does anyone know what its purpose is? My friend was told that it was because it is a 'marine knife' and the...

I haven't got one, but I think it looks like a really cool knife. I love the transparent G10, I think it makes the knife something special and I would like to see it on a few more knives. I won't be getting one though, for me it is just way too expensive for a knife that small. I realise the titaniu...

I have a mixture of both. For me it does also depend on the grind. I really like FFG in PE, but I would much rather SE in the sabre grind (like a D4). I have a mixture of both but find for my much heavier work, the SE (on a Millie) is the way to go. There is also a sense of satisfaction in sharpenin...
