while i don't get bored with spyderco, i just purchase the ones that interest me. i appreciate the differences between the manufacturers.

I got into sharps via Emerson and now carry Emerson, Spyderco, and other US brands.

+1 spyderco lights

a spydie light of the same or better quality than the sharps would make me give up coffee and energy drinks so i can afford one. spydie sharps feel very good in and and are very capable/unique. spydie designed lights would be interesting. and if it were released, hope it shakes up the brights market.

Orange handles and Lefty version suggested

Hi: I carry the D2 Para and it sees lots of use cutting up fruits and meats, it is very friendly looking compared to the Millie. I just used it at a L&L BBQ to slice up some bbq and didn't draw any attention from anybody. i would buy at least one of each if they were in production: Orange Para L...

another pre-order

Especially since delivery dates are likely to be six months apart...go for it. oh noes, bit the bullet. this thread made me pull the trigger. and what is sad, is that it will be a shelfqueen. i just keep an Orange Military and Lefty Military in their boxes. Although I'm thinking of getting a regula...

+1 on trainer

Interesting use for your trainer. I've been thinking of branching out and trying either some Nutella or some Vegemite. heheh. that would be great way to introduce your coworkers to the spyderco world. and Nutella would be great to try out too. i keep a jar at the office. pretty cool nutella doesn't...

+1 on military tanto

hi:

i'd get one and leave it in the box. the orange millie i have needs company on the shelf.

for my prying needs, i'll just use one of the two mini-prybars i lug in my bucket. if that's not enough, there's that dedicated prybar/nail puller in the car trunk.
:)

Sweet collection you got going, bummer about not being able to lug that military in your city. I leave mine at home too, but mainly because it is too big for my daily needs.

happy spyder'ng.

hi reverend horton

hehe. i use the paramilitary d2 the most in my office job, i just use it to help me peel fruit in my cubicle or open up packages. i got paramilitary after realizing the orange military would stand out way too much here. the orange uk pen knive looks ideal for office use, but i just allocated my spyd...

I just went and looked on the :spyder: website for the D2 Para. How long have these been out of stock? Hi redyps04, they seemed to be in stock last week when i was looking the spyderco specials. you can still find the d2 paramilitary at online knife dealers like knifecenter and new graham and other...

welcome

hi nickds7: that one knife will lead to many. :0) i would think an emerson is a manual folder because the assisted openers i'm familiar have some sort of spring or torsion bar that launch the blade after you actuate the mechanism. it took me awhile to figure out the emerson wave feature. i noticed m...
