Re: Spyderco Factory Outlet Seconds Sale!
I'll be there. If anyone is looking for a particular knife, we could buddy up with other members, exchange emails/phone numbers and look for a couple knives on their wish lists. Anyone else? Me. Definitely interested as I will not be able to make it. I live in Atlanta. Great for NRA and BLADE, horr...

Re: Rit Die Dragonfly Yellow Salt?
If you try and dye the scales, use iDye polymer instead of Rit Dye. It works really well and turned a pink Ontario Rat 2 I had to a nice brilliant Red that stays on. Just follow the directions and will look great. Consider also that yellow may take a few applications but It can be done.

Re: Blade Show Excitement
I saw a bunch of current (colored PM3's, Delica's, etc) and new (Lil Native, etc.) models that were awesome. While I was handling the Carbon Fiber/Cruwear Manix 2, there was one I was really impressed by, that was promptly removed from display (since it isn't available yet, lol) which was the Manix ...

Re: 2.5 inch Native at Blade!
On clips, does that look like the shorter Dragonfly-style clip on the prototype? I noticed that too. It does look like the short wire clip. Three different models were on display at BLADE. The compression lock will have the wire clip and will be released first - the back lock and slipjoint models w...

Re: 2.5 inch Native at Blade!
Spyderco unveiled a new 2.5" bladed Native at Blade Show. The Little Native is going to be awesome. It appears a Compression Lock will be first, followed by a back lock version, and then a slip joint model. All three are going to be in regular production. They appear to have G10 scales and mos...

Same here - I am looking at the same model. If it isn't out by Blade, I will drop by the Spydie-booth and ask, as I am interested in it too.

Re: Manix 2 C101PGY2 W/ Maxamet
Putting super steels in affordable lightweight user platforms is one of the very special things that Spyderco does for us that really sets them apart from the competition. ^^ THIS!!! You can easily look over offerings by other companies with comparable resources/steels and find Spyderco is always o...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
Ordered 2 Spydie's for EDC'ing at my office. For casual days I typically use my LW Manix 2's, but I just got my hands on the Dragonfly 2 and a Saber Grind Delica 4 that fits the bill nicely when the dress code is primarily slacks/khaki's.

Re: First Spyderco Knife to get?!
Truth be told, if this is your first Spyderco, try and go somewhere (or meet up with someone you know) that currently has some, and check out the different ways they lock, and how easy each one deploys. some work effortlessly with a flick of the thumb or finger, and others require a bit more pressur...

Re: Dyad rip-off by Schrade
If I recall correctly Schrade/Imperial/Old Timer knives were sold to Taylor Brands, then SWHC (Smith and Wesson Holding Company) purchased Taylor Brands. SWHC then became American Outdoor Brands Corp. They may have a model (or maybe a few) that are US made but most are still Chinese.

Spyderco Multi Tool in the works?
Let it be known that while I have been carrying knives for general purpose these past few years, I've always kept a multi-tool in my work bag, and one in the car for when the time calls for it. In this case, neither of the two are Spyderco so I won't bother mentioning their name- although it does rh...

Re: Manix2 Backlock!
Question... does the fact that this version has a backlock take away the ease of flicking out the Manix 2 like the normal G10/LW versions with the ball bearing lock? Welcome to the forum, sonarsessions -- your signature reminds me of the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac who stayed up all night wonderi...

Re: Delica 4 Foliage Green FRN & Damascus blade
Nice! I have the combo blade VG10 Endura with Foliage Green handles and love it - I am sure this is no exception, although I'd probably pass on anything Damascus unless it's to just keep in the safe. Really nice though.
