I'm with you there, but I also love a good revolver! A snubby in a pancake holster becomes invisible and very comfy to carry! I also love single action capability, which is a benefit at longer ranges! :) I used to carry a snubbie...a little 2-1/2" 5-shot .38 Special until I decided that I'd be...

I have an old khaki Maxpedition Spartan. I'm going to replace it with a Saddleback Medium Bi-Fold as soon as they are back in stock.

Besides Spyderco, I really only like Victorinox though I have been eyeballing a ZT 566 lately.

Best way I ever found to sharpen a SE was to use the corner of the whites set at 20 degrees on the Sharpmaker using a 3:1 ratio then follow-up by stropping each scallop with a leather shoe string loaded with compound.

A co-worker of mine frequents a forum called "The Gun Counter" and he speaks positively of it.

I have lurked there from time to time and my impression is that most of the members are pretty affable, however it does not appear to be a very high-traffic site.

Clear finger nail polish works very well if you don't have any Loctite available. Some people actually prefer it.

If the lanyard is already tied with the inner strands intact, try making a hook out of a stout paperclip then grabbing on to the paperclip with a pair of needle nose pliers and pulling through. Don't be afraid to put a little "Umph" into it. A little talcum powder inside the bolt may help ...

The original Calypso Jr's were sweet little knives.

The original Starmate in 440V was a heckuva knife in its day and the Chinook 1 was almost bomb-proof.

The Wegners and the Goddards were good knives too.

It will fit if you remove the inner strands. Use a paperclip to pull the loop through.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Otterbox Defender.

Several guys that I work with use the LifeProof case, and like them, but one common problem is that the edges of the case seem to wear out in short order after being taken in and out of their pockets repeatedly.

I still lurk from time to time but, honestly, it's been a long time since I bought a new knife :o I still carry a Spyderco everyday, a Military...my brand-loyalty with knives has not...
