In my workplace, I also like to scrutiny any complaint to understand what went wrong. There were two cases where customer stated that the information was unclear and that the officer(s) had not kept what was promised. Upon checking the whole recording (some are 15 mins, some are 30 mins long), the c...

Even with vertical play, it may be still safe to use. Try STR's lock test (not spine whack) and you may gain confidence on it.

Using EP is not cheating, if you do know what you don't know ;)

If only cost is not prohibitive, I'd do one too :p

Thank you! You're an inspiration. Blade steel is 8Cr and only achieved after many sessions of maintenance. 20CP must take a real dedication!

Guess it's good. After these hair splitting, cut some cardboard, no longer hair splitting, but still arm hair shaving (not face shaving though).

Have used it the night before to shave, will try further test.

Chuck,

Ran over the EL02 on DMT EF and balance strop. Now, I can do almost same thing you did there by luck or burr ;) . Stropping on my jeans seems to enhance one side's ability to whittle, so it might be burr :p ?

I tend to think cross contamination, as the remnants of the carbon steel rust, it might develop into the VG10. Strange, but possible, as the carbon steel acts as a 'catalyst' with the chlorine.

Not a steel expert, just a wild guess.

I too have had knee injury and on both (different occasions). Currently, situational awareness is what I rely on. Mr. Janich, what do you think of mercop's IET for people that have mobility issue such as knee injury? Living thousands of miles away, I'm keen to understand the concept to be incorporat...

No more polished mirror edge then (?). In any case, it's still amazing!
Can't achieve that yet, even with the 'balance strop' .. (hint: search BF)

I change up a lot of my knives for lefty carry because I usually carry 2 knives. It's easy for me to unlock a righty millie with my left hand by releasing the liner lock with my middle finger and pushing down on the spine with my thumb. I guess I can learn to unlock a lefty millie with my left hand...

Sweat corrosive nature differs from person to person. When I was younger, my sweat was very corrosive. Nowadays, with change of diet, less so. Steel finish also will contribute. Mirror polished steel will be less prone to corrosion due to no humidity 'captured' by the pores (as opposed to beadblaste...

My earlier post might sound high handed .. to clarify, I shave with my knives, meaning either I'm good at sharpening or my tolerance to 'not so smooth' shave is really high (likely the case) ;)

I did cut myself like chuck once, from a freshly stropped ICEL Farmer knife. ****, it really bites :D
