Re: Modded Rockjumper
Love it! I’ve been wanting to do this with my Delica wharncliffes as well. I think it looks much better, plus reduces weight & bulk.

Re: Endura in 52100
We still haven’t gotten a Cruwear Endura (or endela or stretch). That’s what I want to see.
Having owned both steels, I don’t understand why someone would want 52100 over Cruwear.

Re: What should be the next Cruwear/Micarta Golden Model? (Hopefully regular production)
Not a popular opinion, but I’d much rather see some Seiki Japan FRN Cruwear (Delica, Endela, Endura, Straight Spine Stretch, etc) before another golden crucarta model. But of the ones listed in the pole… I’d probably be most tempted by a Shaman. Maybe they could do it in OD green micarta as to not ...

SMOCK 2: would you be interested?
With the Smock having some polarizing features (huge blade choil), and some features that many didn’t like or weren’t interested in (carbon fiber handles, S30V)… How does a Smock 2 sound? Let’s say… 1. They got rid of the exaggerated sharpening choil 2. Handle scales changed to micarta or traditiona...

Re: Mystery Knife Center exclusive coming 6/23
Since *burlap* micarta is technically different than standard micarta…
is it different enough that they could do a Cruwear model and not infringe on previous sprints/exclusives?

Re: Protecting non-stainless steels from Corrosion
I’ve used gun oils, fishing reel oils, mineral oil, bearing oil, EDCi, vaseline, various tool & machine oils, etc. They all work fine. *If forced to choose one… I guess I’d probably pick EDCi. Not because it’s better than others but because it’s food safe. And I kinda like the pump sprayer lol. ...

Re: I'm in love with Cru-wear.
Cruwear is the business. I fell in love with the idea of it when reading about the toughness, but I fell in love with the steel itself the first time I sharpened it. Incredibly responsive on the stones, probably the best feedback I’ve ever experienced, sharpens fast and easy to get scary sharp. As f...

K390: 6 month rust test in Florida
Just came across this video of a park ranger doing a 6 month rust test on the k390 Stretch on the coast of Florida.

Re: The next "pocket clip" level breakthrough?
Not exactly new in the world of knives but new to me- button lock flippers. Man. To me it’s an absolute game changer. I picked up a Protech Malibu recently and it instantly became my new favorite opening & locking mechanism. Maybe my love for it will fade in time, but… I can foresee button lock ...

Re: The next "pocket clip" level breakthrough?
All jokes aside I see the next big breakthrough being in sharpening stones. Higher quality abrasives are the future. The current CBN and Diamond offerings from most companies are good, but they could be so much better. Especially in guided systems or fixed angle systems like the sharpmaker. I see s...

Re: Cruwear Micarta PM2 Full liners
Picked one up at blade show, I absolutely love it. It’s my favorite PM2 to date.
Nothing about it feels cheap to me. Haven’t weighed it but it feels lighter than other PM2’s, perhaps that gives some the feeling of cheapness?

Re: Shocking how few Stainless Delica options there are
KnifeJoy 20CV Delica in steel blue FRN, $110 with free shipping. There, that wasn't so hard. ;) Boom, ordered! I searched around for 20cv delica but that never popped up. You’re the man, thanks dsvirsky! (My original statement to Spyderco still stands though. It is disappointing how few options the...

Shocking how few Stainless Delica options there are
Buying my stepdad a knife for Father’s Day, he loved my Delica (cruwear) so this year I wanted to get him one. He uses his knives pretty hard and often, mostly outdoors in the south, so stainless is a must. He’s okay at sharpening(bought him a sharp maker last year). I wanted to get him something wi...

Re: Native 5 salt is Magnacut?
I hope the Magnacut gets a yellow handle, maybe a different shade. Personally I’d really like a pine green. A blue shade to represent the ocean would be cool too. I’ve always liked the neon green handle of the Lc200n salt series, until I got one. Once I started carrying it, all I could think of was ...

Digging the Wharncliffe Endela. Seeing those new steels on the Mules is cool too.
