Re: REX 45 Military In Stock!

I was hoping this would go for sale on the Spyderco website but I guess it’s not happening.. I’ve asked a few times and they keep telling me they will. Fingers crossed because I’ve been holding off myself. Don't worry friends. I spoke with Jon at the sfo yesterday. He has them and says he should ha...

Re: Autonomy 2

Wish I caught this drop. I really want one of these As far as i know it is a regular production model and so will be widely available. I might be wrong though, what do you mean by "drop"? I think he means the retailers that had them available are sold out now. Ah, ok but it *is* a regular...

Re: Who else is excited about the FRN Sage that Spyderco plans to make?

I'm in for the sage frn all the way!! I love the series, but they are all too nice to take to work. Frn would solve this and turn it into a hard user for me.

Re: The most reliable locking mechanism Spyderco uses?

I think the ceramic ball lock. I think I remember seeing a post awhile back that Sal made talking about the amazing wear resistance of the ball over time. I could be wrong tho. Maybe the frame lock with the adjustable and replaceable tip, like on the lion spy.

Re: SpyderThrowers ETA?

They still aren't available from SFO online tho. I've seen them at dealers for months and months. Was thinking maybe just the first batch made it out and were still around at dealers and there was an issue getting more for a reason or another.

Re: What's your favorite big-big Spyderco?

Flipper, I'd say the mamba. The grind lines and carbon scales just do it for me. That large blade flips out all nasty and upswept. I love it! Work horse goes to the hundred pacer. Nice tough steel. Unique, grippy, easy clean design. Plenty of blade length to slice through everything I come across. F...

Re: What was your first Spyderco?

I got my first while deployed in Iraq in 2009. It was a gift from a group of guys I worked with alot. Delica4, saber grind combo edge, black with black dlc. I did things with this knife that I never thought possible out of a blade. I was 100 percent sold on Spyderco after that. I had a scare in 2014...

Re: ATR ™ 2

Pulled the trigger on KC. Temptation was to strong. Hard to resist @$140. May have a buyer remorse later, but at least I would have a great knife with stand out design. You won't regret it. I got mine from kc on Saturday. Been in my work pants since then. Mine was a little stiff out of the box, but...

Re: SFO Shipping / Processing Time?

It really depends on how busy they are. I've ordered probably 30 times from them. Ive had things shipped same day and received them 3 days later. I'd say no longer than a week from order to delivery. The biggest delay in the operation is ups. Where I am if it doesn't ship by Monday or Tuesday I dont...

Re: 2018 Discontinued List

Just snagged the d'allara and the atr2 from knife center. I've wanted both for awhile but I couldn't justify the price.a tad bit out of my knife budget. I know a ton of work went into the atr and I know Sal is very proud of it. I expect both knives to serve me very well for a very long time.

Hey guys does anybody else think it would be cool if Spyderco made some models with micarta scales in the future?

(If this is already a thing and I’m just forgetting a model, then my bad)
I love micarta, more so than g10. Off hand the only knife I have and know of is the temperance 2 fixed blade.

Got mine today! Wow! Nothing cheap looking about this one. I have to admit the stock photo sucked, made it look cheesy! Having absolute faith it would be awesome I ordered right when they dropped. The inlay really pops. Nice and polished, good weight, blade is razor sharp and centered. This is all t...

Totally off topic, but how do those peel ply cf scales hold up in the yard? They look fantastic. I've been wanting to take my 52100 pm2 to work for a nice workout for awhile now.

Re: Location

Greenwood,IN just south of Indianapolis. As far as I know I'm in a Spyderco dealer dry spot. Kind of sucks not being able to handle anything in person before I buy it, but in 80 purchases I've never been let down. Having a dealer would help me prioritize the many more I have on my list tho. The Spyd...
