My Sage 2 is one of my most carried and used knives. I work in an office so I don't do anything too crazy with it, but for EDC tasks it's excellent. I carry it when I want a smaller and lighter knife than my Gayle Bradley.

The topic of discussion should be the law, not who the judge is or who appointed him or her. Turning it into a partisan issue alienates people and shifts the focus where it doesn't belong. I won't be donating.

I will try a link to photobucket, below. Hope it works. Since I only have one pic at work, showing most of the larger mark, I can upload MUCH better ones when I get home late tonight. Thanks for your help! http://i1348.photobucket.com/albums/p728/SpydieJay/T2eC16VHJGgFFm5IQEm9BSN3Kzfchw60_57_zpsfed...

Also amazon has some "Just launched" sellers shipping from China. Those are obviously fakes.

As an aside I bought a Gayle Bradley directly from Amazon and received a Tenacious in a Gayle Bradley box. I returned it with a note explaining what happened. Makes me hesitant to buy a PM2 off Amazon.

Sal, what is wrong if somebody thinks you should go with higher or lower HRC? That is why forums exist. To ask questions, to put remarks, to discuss, even to have a polemic discussion? Do you really want people only to applaud to any new color, suggest a new color, etc? The honest knife maker, IMO,...

Is the action similar at all? Lockup? Is the steel noticeably bad? I would have been fooled. That's incredibly similar.

I'm not done with the Chuck petition yet. The key is to visit places where they will sign anything just to have a moment of attention. Mainly retirement centers and high school campuses. :p Edit: Sorry, no more threadjacking from me. Based on my calculations K390 is roughly 3.5 times better than S1...

We aren't talking about large lateral forces here - we are talking about tabs on a picture frame. Sure, you don't use the very tip of the knife, but with even a modicum of knowledge on how to use a tool, prying up something that can pried without damaging a lady's manicure should be able to be prie...

Flitz or a similar low abrasive metal polish would be a good place to start before doing anything more drastic.

Honestly, I might get some flack for this, and it might expose me as the onetime Busse fanboy (and by extension knife de-facto knife abuser) I used to be, but I wouldn't hesitate to use my pocket knife for this. I wouldn't hand it to someone else to do this, because I don't trust them to take the s...

I think I would prefer the "forum Knife" etching to be located where the other markings are typically seen. To me it's a bit of a billboard with lettering on the blade that large. That having been said, I still like my Native 5. I don't know how often you look at traditional knives with e...

Did some googling about AEB-L and it seems it would be a good slicer, razor blade or kitchen knife steel which is what it seems to be primarily used for. Would be a good indoor knife. Its also 20 years or more old..hard for me to believe it would be better than K390.. 5 DPS? Such an edge is only ma...

I shave with Feather double edged blades in a Merkur razor. Those things will shave in any direction, but they're insanely thin and are known to be the absolute sharpest double edged shaving razors. A knife's edge is significantly thicker, so it's simply not going to shave like a super thin razor wi...

It's far more important to buy a knife from a reputable company known for quality and performance than to dig around for the HRC spread. Spyderco has a reputation for producing high performance production knives. They aren't known for underhardening the steels they use. Personally I don't really wor...
