When I taught an MBC seminar in Paris for Fred last year I had the chance to examine many of his custom knives, including his handmade Street Bowies. They also had the slight curve, so I can only assume that the production version is faithful to the details of his handmade originals. I'll be teachi...

I noted that the PPT and Street Bowie both have a slight curve on the spine and handle. Any ideas why this is?

Thank you Mike. It is indeed a splendid knife. I look forward to using it.

I will try the other carry option with Paracord. Thank you also for that tip.

The Perrin Streetbowie is back, now in all black. Apparently the design started out by Fred Perrin, intended for use by the French Armed Forces. The Spyderco Perrin Streetbowie never did become a French army issue knife. Recently, the US armed forced showed interest in the design, but they wanted i...

Thanks chief, yep, I live in the woods with monitor lizards and snakes everywhere. That's why the knife and the flashlight are by my side everyday. :) I just wore the Perrin Bowie for fun at work. Folks here would have a very hard time if they saw me with that. One of the things that helped me decid...

Got me my first FB Spydie

It was tough to decide between the fixed blades currently available in the Spyderco line up. Also I did not have much money to spend. Did a bit of research online on forums and YouTube. It was a very difficult decision but I finally pulled the trigger on February 9 at KC where the model was listed o...

Welcome to the forum powerandtel. Was the knife rough to open when you got it or did it become like that after the pivot was tightened please? On my own G10 Millie, I had to allow for the blade to be slightly off centre after adjusting the pivot to achieve a smoother opening. Luckily both my Millies...

Interesting. That pic looks cool. Come to think of it, I have not yet read anyone mention about BB issues on a Spydie.

You are lucky to be able to handle the knife prior to buying. For me, being in the niche group of customers who have to depend on online sellers, it can have very bad repercussions. I mean, I see a knife, I like it - the photos I mean and I uy it to discover that it was not what I was expecting. In ...

Hmm. Right now I have a Fred Perrin Street Bowie on the way.

Next will be a Kingdom Armory Samaritan folder sporting a Spydie Hole. That's around 700 USD.

Thirdly I have my sites set on Dialex's Battle Station.

I guess those should lighten my wallet a lot.

Thank you. Yes, the blade length complies to the 3" legal limitations. :) It's a unique design and ur welcome. I'm looking to get one if I still have a job when it comes out. Frankly speaking I would have preferred a 3.5 inch blade for this style of knife which would have really made my day. U...

The Battle Station is awesome. Did I understand you right as to the blade length being 2.9 inches?
