Re: Spyderco Enforcer

I'd love to see the Rookie back in production. My last two went to Afghanistan with two dear friends and Marines as back up concealment blades for when they were in the rear areas. They served their purpose with distinction. Now I am left to scrounge up another for myself. It has always been a favo...

Re: How about a Dragonfly 2 in M390 or CTS-204P or CPM-20CV?

BUT, wait! My google-fu has prevailed! At http://www.bohler.jp/english/766.php, it is stated that Bohler is "one of the major suppliers of Special Steels in the Japan market." And at http://www.bohler.jp/english/886.php, M390 is listed among their tool steels. I may not do any contracting...

What a silly response from you... the knife could be made in any Spyderco owned factory across the globe.

I don't understand why Spyderco are kowtowing to the japanese anyway.

Re: Paramilitary 2 left-handed version

Maybe but it still won't be unique enough to garner good sales, especially not at $125.97 MAP. Spyderco should release knives with MoonGlow side scales that are not dealer exclusives or even sprint runs. So Sal should abandon his principles and flush his integrity down the toilet just for you? If p...

Re: Spyderco Enforcer

I like the idea. I like it a lot. Would it be available in several different handle materials? Such as Stainless, G10, and FRN? It would probably start off with S30V and black G-10 but if the sales are good other versions are sure to follow. No, better make that police blue G-10. :D Or khaki colore...

Re: Spyderco Enforcer

Yeah, a no longer produced but sought after knife really doesn't need to come back in a slightly larger version... I fully agree with you on that.

Re: Paramilitary 2 left-handed version

There will be a low demand because with S30V and black G-10 side scales there's just nothing special about it.

And that 500 number is it a total number or 500 of each?

Re: Me...The Ouroboros...And Others...

I think that S110V for about $150 is a good deal... VG10 for the same price not so much.

Spyderco Enforcer 3.6'' and Spyderco Detective 3.2'' and Spyderco Inspector 2.8''

The Spyderco Enforcer is my suggestion of a smaller version of the Spyderco Police and the blade length should probably be about one inch shorter than that of the Spyderco Police... so in the region of 3.4 inches.

Scratch that and make it 3.6 inches. :D

Re: Paramilitary 2 left-handed version

Moonglow G-10 is the exclusive province of EDC Forums and/or Jon Burley. Sal won't use it without his express permission. If you want it, you need to go over there and lobby for it. Although I'm right handed, I'd buy a PM2 "lefty" version, simply because in my opinion, the current version...

52100 corrosion resistance

I have found these salt spray resistance tests and I must say that it's an interesting read.

The tests were performed on ball bearing rings but I think that it could be applied to knife blades (click the link and scroll down): http://www.kaydonbearings.com/white_papers_3.htm

Yeah, a Dragonfly 2 in S110V and midnight blue side scales would be cool. :)

But why not have both if the market can bear it?

That would be called the Manix 3 I think. :)

Re: Paramilitary 2 left-handed version

I think Moonglow has gone away. I forget why, but the people who used to get the special moonglow exclusives, something happened with their supplier or Spyderco doesn't want to work with it. I forget what happened. There is some pretty weird information on that page you linked. I don't understand t...

How about a Dragonfly 2 in M390 or CTS-204P or CPM-20CV?

I love the Dragonfly and I have one in ZDP-189 but I would like to have one in just a little bit better blade steel. And here is an essential guide to knife steel which I think is very informative: http://knifeinformer.com/discovering-the-best-knife-steel/ And also zome green side scales... just so ...

Re: Will there be a Manix based knife with a 3'' blade?

Welcome Back. :) I think that the Native5 is the 3 inch Manix. Don't forget, the original Manix was a backlock and unfortunately the Native may be too small to fit a CBBL. The last part is just my theory. I think that when you consider thes facts it becomes apparent that the Native is the smaller M...

Will there be a Manix based knife with a 3'' blade?

Now that we have the Para 3 which is based of the Paramilitary 2 but with a 3'' blade will the same be applied to the Manix 2?

It could be called the Matrix... yeah just throwing it out there. :D

But jokes aside I think that the Lil' Manix would be a good name.
