I didn't know about the Mariner Salt. I was kind of hoping for a G-10 variation.

I have had good experience with the G-10 on the Caly3, but aside from the time it went through the wash, it doesn't get soaking wet.

I'd be interested in H-1 in something other than an FRN handle. Has there been anything like that?

[quote="CTfam"]Something a little shorter when folded up would be ideal. Also, I wouldn't need the clip so I would just take it off.QUOTE]

I needed something in this role and found the Kiwi an excellent choice. Small, no clip, but very powerful in use.

My Christmas Decision: Military or Para-Military?

Okay, I've been doing my research, but still can't decide. Here's the background. I have a Caly3 that is my daily carry and it does all I ask of it. I have a UKPK that I carry for variation, and a Kiwi for when I want something smaller. I have budget enough for 1 new knife. This is truly a "wan...

Thank you.

So, (and I know I am probably WAY oversimplifying this) it is kind of a Liner Lock, but on the back of the spine as opposed to the front? That does appeal to me as one of the reasons I am not as fond of Liner Locks is that they seem to get in my way sometimes on the front.

Compression Lock?

Okay, I don't have a way around here to get my hands on a Para-Military to try one out. I have been trying to decide between a Military and a Para and have no info on the Compression Lock other than that it is considered very strong and many seem to like it. Liner Locks are not my favorite, so that ...

Clip Interchange

Will the clip from a Grey FRN Calypso Jr. fit on a Delica 4? If not, what models would it be interchangable with?

Stronger Lock?

I'm just curious, which knife would have the stronger locking mechanism? The Military, Para-Military, the Caly3? Which style lock, if any is considered the stronger? Or is it realy a matter of personal opinion and they're all the same for all practical purposes? I ask for a reason. I currently mostl...

I can't vote on this either. I have a grey Caly Jr., but have only carried it once or twice as I much prefer the Caly3 or UKPK. Wasn't aware there was that kind of demand for them. Interesting.

The Urban does look like a good fit. I thought of the Dragonfly before, but didn't see a G-10 or CF, and I'm not looking for SS handles at this point. I look forward to seeing the Urban, it seems to be almost exactly what I am looking for. If it came in that size, but locking, then it would be perfe...

Help me with a suggestion?

I appreciate the wealth of knowledge and information available here. So I thought I would ask for a little help. I'm looking to try something new. I currently carry a rotation of Caly3, UKPK, and a Calypso Jr. I like the design, and the feel. Particularly the solid feel and heft of the Caly3. Howeve...

Don't get me wrong, this is purely an intellectual exercise for me. I don't necessarily see a "need" for such a thing, just was thinking while driving and wondered about it.

Has it been done? Or would it make a difference?

I am curious and have a question, though I plead youthful inexperience if this is silly or covered before. I see fans of both Back Locking Models and Liner Locking Models. Some say one is more solid, some the other. Would it be possible to produce a knife with both? For Super Heavy Duty applications...

I'm mostly leaning to the Kiwi. I like it's odd look and how it will fit 99% of my knife usage. I already have the Caly3 size buttoned up between my other two. And I like the profile of the Kiwi fro pocket carry over the Kopa.

Decision time, and can get only one....

Okay, I have scraped together funds for a new Spydie, but can't decide. I currently have a UKPK, and a grey FRN Calypso Jr. My needs are for something as a new EDC, that isn't "scary". Here are the candidates... 1. Kiwi - I need something smaller and friendlier, and this would work. Would ...

Salt Confusion: Little Help?

I'm interested in the Salt series, as I like the H1 properties. What I'm having trouble with are the names and sizes. What is the difference in the Atlantic and Pacific? How do these compare as far as size with models like the Delica and Endura? I appreciate any help offered, I know it seems like I ...
