Re: Most underappreciated steel?

Under appreciated by Spyderco ... 154CM. Nothing special but a decent “everyday” knife steel in the VG10 performance category that Spyderco hardly used.

Re: There's something that's a little overdue

..... IMO, Spyderco could use many other images as well. For instance, one of the Salt models, like a Tasman, shown on a fishing boat with rope or netting next to it and the sea in the background. Or a rock jumper with mountain climbing equipment and a mountain in the background. All kinds of image...

Re: The Surprising Tusk

I like the Tusk because I really appreciate the engineering and thought that went into the design. I got mine in 2014 when the MAP discounts to MSRP were bigger than they are now. At $230 I didn’t regard it in Sebenza price range. It was also my (the?) first Spyderco LC200N / Cronidur 30 knife when ...

Re: LeafJumper

I carried my PITS earlier in the week and at the time thought to myself that I really liked the handle, the swell and the fact that there were no pointy indexing points anywhere. I pulled out my D'Allara as well to compare the very similar handles. I really wanted to like the D'Allara but the lock d...

Re: Native Chief first and ongoing impressions thread

Dimensionally similar to the C54 with a similarly acute tip. I like it! https://i.imgur.com/peHG2Wk.jpg This photo almost sells me on a knife bigger than I really have a use for ... this photo with a Renagade added would probably push me over the edge. Has anyone posted a Renegade vs Native Chief i...

Nice! Who made those scales? Anodized aluminum? :spyder:
Anodised alu by Kevin Wilkins. To my knowledge he has stopped making scales unfortunately.

Re: Just put my last Spyderco in a Zipper bag ...

Frenchblob, Whilst Sal has said that the washers have been posted, I’d suggest sourcing local washers anyway. The postal system is broken (unless sent by courier company) thanks to the virus. As examples, I still haven’t got my Spyderco 2021 calendar and I’ve been waiting for an item from Hong Kong ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Today I have a special one in my pocket - 12 years old but still looks like she only left Japan yesterday. She is also not known for respecting the cohesive properties between materials.... I've been drawn to these for a while. I will cave soon I think. But I'd love to see this as an updated design...

Re: The Return of the Persian

Firstly the thread needs a photo of a G10 Persian 2 - my 76mm https://i.postimg.cc/NGkH8CjM/IMG_3322.jpg This is a minefield. First and foremost, assuming the bolstered version is where this goes - is it pinned or screwed? Aesthetically, I prefer a pinned pivot as the original was but practically I'...
