Re: OKC, Ontario Knife Company Sold

Sadly, I believe this is yet another victim of extreme pressure on the industry from the East. Guess where production will probably end up? Blue Ridge is a distributor not a manufacturer, so nothing will be made in Virginia.

If you want a big affordable US made chopper, best get one now.

Throwing shade on fellow knife aficionados. Who cares what other people do as long as nobody is getting hurt? We have enough division in our culture these days.

Re: For firearm guys/girls...

I think the recording of every shot comes from two worlds. The sniper needs log each shot to know how the rifle will perform under every condition. The rifle competitor needs to know how many shots each barrel has through it so they know when to replace the barrel and maintain peak accuracy. Pistol...

Yab, that might be the most succinct definition of pocket jewelry I’ve ever seen. I cannot fault it, either.

Just bumping this back up.

Too hot down here for socks this summer. Really too hot for clothes, but I'm not a cruel person so I stay clothed. :beaming-face :hot-face

Re: Aftermarket Bearings for Mantra 2?

I may give them a try. None of my Spyderco flippers had good action compared to other brands I own. At least on the majority of Spyderco flippers, the opening hole is still useful. On flipper knives I prefer to have an alternative to flipping only.

Re: FRN Mule Team Scales

I like this idea. Not sure if it was brought before, but even if so, it remains a good idea.

The upfront costs for FRN molds is probably keeping this from happening, so we might see 3d printed scales from Spyderco before we see FRN scales.

Re: Overlooked, Obscure Models Deserving Of A Sprint Run?

Now that I have greatly diminished "fun money" I can no longer grab all that I want. So, the only one I would spend money on these days would be a Rock Salt in Magnacut or maybe a regular Rock in AEB-L (with the improved heat treat protocol).

Re: What you don't like about spyderco knives?

I would prefer Spyderco went back to the smaller opening holes. The larger ones can take 50% of the blade height on models like the Siren.

I've used sheaths from Collector Knives for one MT and one Waterway second that came with no sheath. I believe the medium is the one I used for the MT.
