wich steel takes the sharpest edge?

All other factors not taken into account. What will be the main backdraw of this steel?

blade shows so I can feel the edge when closed.

My only concern about this is if the edge would be dull at that lønn from wear:-)

Civilian

Some of the blade shows when closed. I can actually feel the edge. Will this be an issue if weared regularly, like dulling the blade?

The nested steel liners is what is missing I can see now. the steel has begun to snag on the frn. But still its a **** of a knife.

The vg10 steels just keeps on holding an edge. the only thing I have done so far to the edge is to sharpen the non se tip right when I got it. It truly is a super steel.

I would not use it as a chefs knife :) but I will slice food once in a while, but a slicer in general, and SD. I believe (might not be correct) it would perform better as a SD knife then. Maybe I will only do a slight reprofiling first.

Changing angel on the police3

I considder to reprofile the edge degree on it to make it even sharper. I want to make maybe a 15% angel like on a Global or Mac chef knife to make it a better slicer. Any toughts on this? advice?

I do it all the time with my knives to. I think the steel lined knives can handle it alot if regularily lubricated. On my delica frn it only took about two weeks before I noticed a snag, but that really is no biggie

Anyone buy yheir knives on www.Spyderco.com

They have really much higher prices than every other online store that sells their products. I bought my Police3 G10 there for 220$+ shipping, that was really not a good deal.. I think that is a shame..
