Re: Cleaning & Maintenance of Spyderco Ceramic Sharpening Stones?
For cleaning my sharpmaker rods (have just the fine and medium ones) ceran stove cleaner works perfectly. I use a regular sponge for cleaning dishes (don't know if this is the correct term in english) What kind of chemical cleaner is this product you mentioned ( Ceran?)?? IS it a regular oven clean...

Re: Some things I would like to see from Spyderco ... you?
Fourth post here, since every day another thing I´d like to see from Spyderco comes to my mind.. ;) An affordable, lightweight fixed blade, featuring a little longer edge than the Enuff has: Just half an inch to one inch more would be ok; FRN would be ok; VG 10 and a drop in price (compared to the ...

Re: To the European Spydienut community: where do you buy your add ons / spare parts?
You mean private sellers? Can't say anything to this, I don't buy off the secondary market. I know a bunch of ebay shops that have no problems shipping to Germany, at reasonable costs. In fact I only purchased from two non ebay knife shops so far, DLT and KC. All other spydies I purchased so far I ...

Re: To the European Spydienut community: where do you buy your add ons / spare parts?
Thanks Wartstein, but I have no problems ordering knives directly from the US. Not all US knife shops ship to Europe, and some take ridiculous charges - those are being ignored, as they should. I won't pay extra for a middle man service. Having said that, I think that shipping costs for a small spa...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
...and is there a brown one out there in any other steel? I don't think that there is. But you could change the scales. Yes, I could... maybe swap the scales of a brown one with my burnt orange HAP 40... a HAP 40 brown FRN would be kind of cool ;) But, sadly, really can´t afford purchasing another ...

Re: How different is your daily carry knife w/ gloves on?
Thanks! I still want an orange ffg endura though... Since you mentioned the Millie would be a bit too pricey for you, my recommendation may not the best, since also quite expensive, but nevertheless: What about the burnt orange HAP 40 Endura for an "orange ffg Endura"? Color is not that b...

Hi Michael, though beeing European I am afraid I can't help you out too much. I have a Millie with wooden scales and a wooden backspacer, coming from cuscadi originally. So they at least HAD Millie Backspacers, but maybe only wooden ones? Only help I can offer: If you want to order from an US compan...

Re: Can we Spyderco users be assured VG10 will be with us for a good long time?
Spyderco better keep vg10 and S30v around, unless they want to replace vg10 with hap40 or s30v with xhp. I like to have steels around that are easy to maintain. Bd1 is good too but not as good as vg10 or S30v. I like the edges I can get on them and I like how easy I can bring them back to life. The...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Endura 4 Very good choice, very nice pic... ;) Thank you, Wartstein ! Endura is my preferred "winter" folder. The longer handle (slightly modified by me) is more comfortable when I use gloves. I know exactly what you mean! Beeing a quite avid backcountry skier I use my Enduras often times...

Re: Some things I would like to see from Spyderco ... you?
Third time I come back to this thread.. ;) I´d like to see a quite heavily modified Native 5 LW: Get rid of the choil, so the cutting edge extends all the way back to the handle; move that "guard" on the handle forward, so you get a good four finger grip and when doing so, your hand is pla...

Thanx for sharing! I was not aware of Spydercos channel. Oddly enough, cause of course I search YouTube quite frequently for "Spyderco", but never came across their dedicated channel.

Re: If you could resurrect one discontinued model what would it be?
Just wanted to create a thread with almost the same title by myself, luckily I found yours on time... ;-) Ok, my choice would be the Stretch 1 FRN, no question. The VG 10, HAP 40 (burnt orange) and ZDP 189 versions. The current stretch 2 is not a bad knife, but the Stretch 1 was better imho: Shorter...
